I was once again rudely surpirsed today!

I went to put a CD id just burnt into my CD player, and I accidentally put on FM 96.1

I knew that trakc right away

It was Dino Lenny - I feel stereo

from Deep Dish's GU 021!
I just thought "WTF F**K OFF 96.1!!!!!!!!!!!"

This is an awsome song and playing it in their saturday night dance is just RUDE!

anyone remember the dance remix of My Heart Will Go On by Celine Dion???? :nervous:

in my honest opinion, THE worst song in popular music ever.

by the way, most film clips on comercial channels [looking at you VH!] are only played because the record company that OWNS the song, sponsers the network. We know they sponsor them, because they offer prizes "Proudly brought to you by Sony Music and Video Hits..." etc. and after a song finishes, they have a picture of it, so you can go down to Sanity and buy it next time you go shopping with your mum.

its called marketing, and its hard to believe thats what i am studying :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip:

by the way, my mate in the Netherlands says that Tiesto and all the dutch boys have their video clips on video shows there (trance is big business), but obviously they play the radio edit or whatever. i cant imagine them playing a 9 minute video clip...

I guess you've never seen the video clip for Mike Oldfield - The source of secrets. That's about 9 minutes I think. A couple of the Tool video clips are that long too.

Mind you the reason Tiesto and them can't make a 9 minute video clip is cause they have 2 minutes of intro and a 2 minute outro. Solely playing bass drums gets a bit boring after about 10 seconds.

yeh, people out there who dont know trance, often tune out @ the very 1st minute, coz the bass is so repetitive, thatz y when i let my mates listen to the livesets i dl off the net, i fast forward 1st 2 minutes so they dont get the 'stereotype' of trance and experience the real stuff.

just jokin mate ;) i actually saw Roger Goode - in the begginning ferry corsten mix a few times on video hits, mind you that was a cross-over tune...but still a great track nonetheless and remember the PvD we are alive film clip with him on the red lounge flying around the streets anyone?

The most insidious marketing effort of recent times was easily that song Starburst - Get Your Juices Going.

Crappy catchy pop song, getting caned on all the radio stations, lots of tv/radio advertising - pick up the great new sound of Starburst!

turns out, the whole thing was a marketing campaign run by the people who make those Starburst fruit chews..

grrrr so insipid... almost as bad as the gorgeous promotions girls in all the trendy bars that sell really cheap cigarettes .. makes my blood boil  :whip:
