Almost every day between the two of them. My mom lives about 15 minutes away, although I probably only see her once a week but still talk very often. My dad is in Virginia but we talk almost every day as well either through text or talking on the phone.

My mom and I are super close. She texts me every couple of days, and we'll chat for an hour or so once a week. My father and I text occasionally but don't chat on the phone for very long. His side of the family is pretty closed-off emotionally, and also tend to get set in their ways - we have talked about this quite a bit recently, about how that aspect of his personality conflicts with my being so open, making it hard for us to have long discussions. He's very awesome and supportive (, my parents cancelled their anniversary plans to check out my first gig), but just not one for chatting.
