| Word. I lived in Shekou for a year back in 2009. Really nice spot. Now I'm in some village in Zhejiang province. |

| Sounds like you should be screwing Jay instead of your landlord. If you do a good job he might let you sleep over. |

I'm from a 3rd world country that is not Argentina. Rent is prepaid upfront for 1 year - common practice, but leaves me with no options of moving out. Contracts, rental agreements have no value. The only thing that has value is the money I have already paid him. He has all the power in this situation which is why I'm so frustrated. |
That sucks. I get your frustration now. I don't have any advice for you then. Are you Chinese or did you move there/working there? |

Well to be truthful its not a lot of money so I shouldn't be so upset, but its been one year of pent up anger, so I'm a bit spiteful at the moment.
A new development:
My staff explained to me why he came into my apartment yelling at me. But I still don't really understand the situation.
Basically my lease is up on Sept 6. But he wants me to move out on Aug 25. He said even though I signed the lease on Sept 6 last year- the first time I saw the apartment was Aug 25 - so he should start counting from that date.
The lack of logic in this country is baffling. |

| Yea, I knew since the place had been empty for 10 days he must be pretty desperate so I hammered him on the price. That might have been the start of all this hostility. |
