It was the Bush family who had strong ties with the Saudi Royal family. It wasn't the US government. They had billions of dollars in contracts through their family with companies that the Bush family specifically had a vested interest in. People thinking that the US has some secret alliance with the House of Saud are just misinformed.
And Lagrangian, will you please kill yourself already? It's been like 2 days now and you still haven't done it. I don't appreciate your lackadaisical attitude towards ridding the world of yourself. |

There's not any such thing as 'Muslim descent', its just a religion and a belief system, not a culture or race of people... heck they even let in the tighty whitey's and crazy asians in on the whole invisible person in the sky and all the backwards medieval practices if they want, just like the christian god botherers will take anyone. |

Sure there is. Muslim can be used to describe a race, much like Jewish can be. You can absolutely say someone is from Muslim or Jewish descent, because although they're a religion, and not a specific race of people, if you trace the origin of the religion back far enough, it is a race of people. In fact, in the words of Islam's own prophet, "Whoever resembles a people, he is of them".
If you want to get all pedantic and cunty about it, he's a descendent of some country in the Middle East, and undoubtedly comes from Muslim ancestry, probably as close as his parents. |

Don't confuse ethnic-religious groups, personal belief systems and biological-anthropology identities, they are separate things. By your incorrect definition I'm technically a 'muslim' because my cape-malay biological father believed that stuff and was raised that way.
Nup, not a muslim, kind of brown, but I have my own personal beliefs. |
