Final Fact: USA is doing terrorism !!! Hooooo that hurts.

Osama wasn't a terrorist yet. He was Mujahadin (sp?) fighter, defending Afghanistan against unprovoked Soviet aggression. He didn't attack any russian civilians, only soldiers.

I was watching Three Kings yesterday.... cool flick. It actually talked about the stupidness of Bush Sr. during the Gulf War, and kinda made you look at it through an Iraqi's point of view.

Entertaining too.

Killing is always stupid. But there is a difference between two sets of equipped and trained soldiers who go into the conflict expecting danger, pain, suffering and possible death, and someone killing innocent civillians - this is the difference between war and terrorism. In my mind a soldier that shoots an enemy soldier during war, is not morally culpable for the death, whereas someone who sets of a bomb in a public are, killing many innocent civillians, deserves no mercy. This was a line that Osama crossed a long time after he was helped by the US.
The US was helping a man who was defending his country from the Russians (in this case the Afghans could either lay down and submit, or stand up and fight - they had no choice). At the time he was being supported by the US, Osama was a soldier fighting for a good cause. When he masterminded and carried out the plans for the attacks on American embassies in Africa and the attack of S11, he became a terrorist.

Perhaps it can be argued that the US has knowingly supported terrorism at some stage, but the example you gave is certainly not an example of such support.

At the time it was in the interests of the US that the SOviet Union didn't get a hold of Afghanistan, as this would guarantee them a monopoly on Caspian oil. Also, there was no way they could have known that he would turn into their most hated enemy. If anything their mistake was not giving enough support to Massoud and his people, this would have created a more balanced power-base and possibly prevented the Taliban from gaining power in the first place.

yup and guess who didnt let Bush 1 do the job right the first time? it was the UN and europe who were screaming "overkill, overkill", but at the time everyone was blind to what can happen by letting terror fester and plan out attacks. US should have taken him out then and there... end of story.

right on i totally agree. this should've been taken care of in 90. end of story.

oh, btw, europeans, go ahead and bitch:rolleyes: and complain about Pres. Bush. Like most of you actually know what's going down...u listen to what the "no free speech" governemt controlled media/tv tells you. way to go!:stongue:

This is just another of Bushes ploys for the oil.

I hate the motherf*cker as soon as he said Iran or other countries are terrorists, i mean he has no ING right to call Iran or anohter country a terrorist..

America is a ing hypocrite, america is the ing terrorist, they are the ones that are creating this bull..

September 11 had a reason behind it, the Afghans are not cold blooded, but they do take revenges options..

The reason behind Sep 11 was a fight between Russia and USA, USA called the Afghans to help, as soon as the Afghans helped then USA fled their own ing war, bloody chicken s...

Where do you get your information from? I'm noty anti-US at all, I support any actions against Saddam's regime, I'm just not naive enopugh to believe that the US is concerned about the plight of the Iraqi people. As for the trade barrier thing (are you talking about the farmers' subsidies?), that's just old fashioned, protectionist economic policy, as well as being hypocritical.
Here's an article about wht people are talking about when they say the US supported Bin Laden:
