I was extremely impressed by Tony Blairs statement about obeying international law, if the UK help the US remove Saddam, something which Bush clearly doesn't give a flying about. Anyone see the anti war protest in London yesterday? 400,000 ppl campaigning against military action in Iraq, and it was organised in less than 48 hours. If it'd been widely advertised, I'm sure the numbers would have been far far more than that. I know I'd have been there :) |

DIVERSITY NOT ASSIMILATION |
I want to invade Iraq now, because I don't want to wake up one day covered in anthrax or be in the exterior ring of a nuclear blast - that's why. You knew I was reffering to the Hussein administration when I said "Iraq", you didn't have to cry foul. Also, look at the other people in here that support bombing/invading Iraq - you aren't upset at them?
Also, when my country is insulted it very damn well is my business. |

fastmp3 |
-i'm not upset about them because no one said "blow the mother******s" or something of this genre , each one has his opinion which i respect but he has to express it politely
-war = war , if you bomb iraq they will do the impossible to bomb you back
-iraq has no reason to bomb Canada
-no one insulted Canada , so i still don't know why you said that comment |

LOL, canadian television is dominated by American tv channels. NBC, ABC, CNN, FOX, we have it all.
Do YOU know whats going on? Osama Bin Laden was trained by the United States to fight against the Soviets in Afghanistan, Iraqi soldiers were trained by the US to fight against Iran, and your government admits to that. I'm not gonna argue the irony or the motives behind that, but you seem to be talking out of your ass. |

With the UK having the 4rd largest Economy on earth, being one of the main diplomatic powers, and having played a large part in the mess that is the Middle East atm, Blairs trying to sort it all out, whether or not he thinks the best way to sort it out is to side with america or not, he's come out and said the UK will stick to international law, thats something Bush has not done :p |

I don't have good references but all that I'll post is true.
OK here it goes:
fact: saddam has chemical and biological weapons and has used them on innocent civilians before
fact: saddam got his weapons from guess who ? USA !!! that great land of freedom and seeking for peace.
How did that happend ? back in old years... A US General gave Iraq chemical and biological weapons so they could use them on Iran.
fact: Iraq never used them against Iran... oups
|
most of what you posted is true, and i agree with your opinion. However, iraq DID use chemical weapons in the iran-iraq war.
quote: |
One of the chemical-warfare instances reported by Iran, at Hoor-ul-Huzwaizeh on 13 March 1984, has since been conclusively verified by an international team of specialists dispatched to Iran by the United Nations Secretary General. The evidence adduced in the report by the UN team lends substantial credence to Iranian allegations of Iraqi chemical warfare on at least six other occasions during the period from 26 February to 17 March.
The efficiency and dispatch with which this UN verification operation was mounted stand greatly to the credit of the Secretary General. His hand had presumably been strengthened by the announcement on 7 March by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) that 160 cases of wounded combatants visited in Tehran hospitals by an ICRC team "presented a clinical picture whose nature leads to the presumption of the recent use of substances prohibited by international law". The casualties visited were reportedly all victims of an incident on 27 February.

Iraq has chemical weapons, and will not be afraid to use them, saddamn is a brutal dictator.
This is an interesting thread, i am reading along, just wanted to point out this small inaccuracy. |

Stick to international law ? which is ? cause as far as I know, Blair is wedding to go with the US and attack Iraq weather it is or not aproved by UN. Correct me if Im wrong, but thats what I understant. |
