I mean there are some good guys on there but the whole vs thing and short sets it's just doesn't feel right to me |

actually, there are two ballrooms.
the downstairs One, where PvD played, has about 2700 capacity. Upstairs is about 1200-1500 I think.
Ive been in both.
Back in 2008, when the current loser in the white house was still trying to become the annointed to replace the previous loser, tons of people were not even permitted to cross 8th ave, let alone go to door for the concert already under way upstairs, cause the future grand pohbah was giving a 250-500 bucks campaign speech downstairs.
couldn't let the ticketed peons interfere with that.
finally going in, against the rapturous converts on the way out, kept saying : you paid 500 for Obummer?
great reaction every time.
anyway, would be interesting if they used the whole place.

This is just too much for a 10-4 set. Especially with how absolutely ed the idiots are who run the venue. You'll wait on line for an hour to get in and by that time you'll have 5 hours to see 9 DJ?
PVD played by himself in that time...
Don't get me wrong.. Lineup looks incredible. Here's hoping it's like a 12 hour thing |

there is a HUGE second room which is all the way upstairs, ive been there a couple times back in the day for some drum n bass parties

Hammerstein is one room.
That other room you are talking about is only used for expos and special events, I've never seen it used for these types of events. |

Maybe thats what theyre going for? HAHAHAH Keep all eyes and excitement on the person throwing the party? FSOE is aly & fila's party so I guess I can accept that my excitement is mostly for Fadi and JOC
however...still sad that there arent some new names- either new to the NYC scene or new to the scene in general.
Im not a huge fan of short sets either..but I dont hate it as much as i used to...The VS thing is fun, however...this leaves them open for the "megamix" style and I HATE THAT i hope no one goes that route
