so, the VIP ticket is actually a good deal, you only have to drink about 18 cocktails, and get your money back.

$270 for 1 night of open bar...?
Is this serious? This can't be. NYE is known to be the most over-priced of holidays and I am pretty sure that open bars cost around $150.
Guarantee it sells out. |

Yeah I'm going to go on a limb here but Mysteryland > avb nye hahaha
BUT I tried and now I can say I spent nye at Armin in VIP in nyc so for me that was part of its worth
Also I drink a lot

From my experience most open bars involve:
- wait by the bar for an hour to get 1 drink
- the drink I get will be a tiny plastic cup filled with ice and a bit of liquor in it
- going to the back where the "open bar" is located to control the crowd.
- being overwhelmed by the sheer number of people rammed up against each other in a rush to order drinks.
- usually involve tipping heavy to ensure the bartender will even look your way when it comes time to reorder.
Meanwhile, non-open bar people get the exact opposite as what I just mentioned above...
Main reason? Cuz, with open bar, the organizers already have your $$$
Am I wrong? |

20% of the time, mostly you have to learn how to work it.
Either with a group of friends, or figure out the best bartender.
Generally, my first drink, I will tip anywhere from 10-20$. After that, i never have an issue getting drinks. Even shots when they are not allowed (shhhhhh) as you learn the bar and the bartenders youll know where to go and how to get served.
source: I drink a lot
HAHAHAHAHA
oh and EDIT: If the price is high, i am even more eager to do it. Because that means there are probably less people doing open bar, therefor more room for me! And its a point of discussion with the bartenders who rarely know that you paid that much. IE Armin NYE "omgosh thank you SO MUCH! ((hands $20) ive waited so long, my dad paid $400 for this for me, and i havent even had one drink! Im sad!" with a BIG SMILE!
i received "open" bar from that gentleman well passed open bar hour ;) |

Screw this party it's 1 hour long sets and laughable price.
$112 is $40-50 dollars over-priced IMO. So by the time I get a few drinks and tip I'm in the hole ~$200...
Keep it up escalla!! Maybe your blind followers will wise up sooner than later.
"But electric zoo is $369 and here -you're getting a real trance experience" I'd love to hear how they justify this highway robbery. |

Dude, it's so absolutely absurd. These prices have just made me disgusted. |

who said that? (maybe its here and i missed it)
im not sure you can compare one night at hammerstein ballroom to 2-3 day/evening's at a festival....BUT if you did then at 112 a ticket, it would be about 360...so theyre even....(with out knowing times)
not worth comparing since theyre SO diff and essentially hold the same ticket price if you think about it logically
(Im not speaking to whether i agree on the ezoo price, im in the air on that....) |

State of Trance tickets at MSG were $150 for GA and at a much more expensive venue with DJs who I'm sure command higher fees.
EDC for 1 day is the same price for how many more DJs? (not to mention Cox, Beyer, AND Digweed)
Come on. |

I guess the bottom line is whether or not you are a big fan of these artists...people think im a fool bc ill spend money to see markus....and i get that
for me, personally, here, I see the pricetag and i am not really surprised- but the line up is "eh" to me....but im trying to keep my personal tastes/opinions separate from talk of ticket price
at the end of the day....either you go or you dont (I still dont even know if ill go)
NOW.....imo.....a good discussion is: why were these artists chosen for FSOE? who here is excited for them? pleased? Who here wanted someone else? Who else would YOU have chosen? (Im super curious on that, since minimal talk is actually about the artists) |

The artists are absolutely incredible.
JOC, A&F, Kearny, Solarstone, Eco = all amazing.
That's why the price annoys me. Not so much that I don't think it's worth it, but that I don't think any DJ show should be commanding that much. Just my personal opinion though. |
