The sound at the Moog stage was pretty bunk last year too. They need to get that sorted.

Definitely pissed I missed that b2b. That is a seriously heavy hitting combo.

I was told it was sorted out by the last 30 mins of Coxy but by then I was already making my way to The Coney Island Stage. some questionable sound issues were overheard at the bathrooms there as well.

Best food decision we made all weekend, I don't think I've ever had chilli cheese fries that good! :eyes:

Pfft! I showed up alone and just butted, lol. Only waited 10 minutes! :gsmile::gsmile:

As fun as I had, I don't if I could deal with such a line again though. I'm still planning on getting there before 7am again and if I stay all day, I stay. Nice surprise seeing you there! :toothless

Best of the festival now that I think of it, the most fun def, running into Lisa and friends at the end was a treat to share some dancing!

Cheers for the ID! And yeah, Maceo was on fire, it was a tough call to choose between Maceo and Diggers, but I'm glad I made the decision which I did. Maceo destroyed it and love his antics in the booth, he always looks like he's having so much fun. And he fist pumps the crowd into a frenzy as if it's the first time he's ever done that mix, not just 4 times previously that week. Like you're the first person to hear these edits (which we probably were for some of them, if not most).

I'll admit, total Maceo fanboy, was giddy to meet him an chat with him at Old Miami and dope that he even remembered me for our chat last year. Told him I was gutted he didn't play the Kavinsky at the festival, he told me to make sure I stay to the end of the afterparty and sure enough, he played it.

He loves Detroit!

Sooo I didn't know you HAD to have a ticket to get into the closing party at St. Andrews Hall...some dude gave me a wrist band and I wizzled in through the gate and walked right in with no hassle, even after already speaking to the door guy who knew I didn't actually have a ticket, lol. I am Queen of the hustle!

SO MAD about that! I went to get my armband at the Afterparty center, which was closed, so I went with my tickets around 2am to a line up around the building, Mayerplex was on already and the bouncers were saying you had to wait even with an armband or ticket. Sold my extra ticket. FInally got in about 30mins later, ******s didn't check my ticket, but pretty much stuck their finger up my looking for drugs during the patdown. Check my shoes next time . Cluster of a security outfit at St.Andrews.

Wish they served later though, was dying for a cold beer by the time I finally got in. Bathroom sitch was nasty as well.

You mean the Moog stage as where it is now? (Electric Forest stage in 2013), the issue was it's facing East and it's just too loud and those drops carry all over the festival and you can hear the MCs from your hotel. It needs to face South to Windsor again, who cares about the old people complaining, I'm not there!

It was intensely good, that whole place was just stomping to the beats. It reminded me of this or some reason because most people were so tired they were just shuffling feet and swaying.

I only caught the last 30 mins. b/c I was at Digweed, but those last 30 minutes were literally the best music I had heard over the whole festival and his energy level was superb.

This guy has been improving big time with his mixing! Wish I passed by a bit, but Digweed and Hawtin had me trapped at the main stage.

Their styles really compliment one another. They also work very well with one another in the booth. There were several instances when one would prime the mood up for the other perfectly. Great set. If anyone knows that bass-less spaceship track that Michael Mayer played before Maceo dropped in a chuggy tech bomb, please do post it. I lost my mind to that track. Wow.

Here's one of my favourite tracks from the festival that Mayer played in the beginning of his set at the main stage.

Sorry, I meant the Red Bull Stage. It was dodgy last year, and it sounds like it was even worse this year.

I think they did something different this year. Usually I can hear the soundchecks from my house on the Friday before and even Sat morning, but this year nothing.

And when we come through the tunnel I heard it very little, same with driving on Jefferson around the festival or walking from the hotel. Besides the Redbull stage, it sounded clearer, but less bassy with the 'wooomph wooooomph' rumble that I usually get so excited for.

The jury is still out on the RBMA Stage, some say RIchie blew it the night previous, others said the amps were melting or something essentially so they were backpacking other speakers on top of the already existing working amps. Sucks, but I really can't complain, they bring in the best from all over the world for their sound engineers, they bring in state of the art equipment and rigs each year. Sometimes just happens, and it's not like it just went pop and boom then stayed that way. You could hear they frantically working on the sound, I could see people climbing towers. They tried, it took them how many hours to find the issue at Electric Island? Imagine a stage the size of that one at mainbowl with stacks that high.

Because you're jelly and you want to know what you missed out and you have underling masochistic tendencies.

AND JUST FYI

Maceo playing 'Odd Parents (Maceo's Flight Home remix)' @ St.Andrews afterparty. I can't get enough of this track! So glad I finally got to hear it live.

I didn't bother uploading it because video is shakey, dark and the bass was way loud, but it backed up to my dropbox so here.

And here is the teaser video of the track from his page.
