For many years now, this artist has been the creator of high energy trance and a master of precision mixing. He is single-handedly responsible for putting Ireland on the map as a source of excellent DJ and production talent. His flawless ability to discover haunting vocal singers and merge them with uplifting melodies and big bass lines, have earned him a place amongst the trance elite where he continues to rise and impress with the type of music that can’t fail to bring you out in goosebumps.
On Sat May 10th, making his long awaited NYC return, prepare to kiss the blarney stone with...
John O'Callaghan at Srb brooklyn!

nice!
4:30 really the close?
I've left SRB closer to 8 plenty enough, so know it's possible therecan you do so as well?
how come the trance events always end so much earlier than the techno stuff, I don't get it... (back in the Pachita days, I thought it was house rules, but def. not the case at SRB, so what is it?) |

They don't have strict rules, Max Graham went to 5 am. But people need to stay to keep the party going, in our experience only about 50 people or so are left by 4:30ish... Plus is John is playing 3 hours and very few people are is going to stick around after he is done.
Maybe the techno crowd mentality is different? But not that many people hang around into the after hours for trance at least in our experience. |

you are right, I have noticed this.
for ex. at Mental Asylum, was getting a little thinner by 2:45, and around 4:30 it was emptier than at 11pm.
(at some techno parties with two "headliners", nr. 2 might just be going on then)
strange, why are the fans like that?
Pacha has no problem with much of its crap going to 7 or 8, Output routinely goes to 6 or 6:30, epic nights have gone longer, other techno parties 7 or 8.
And it's not even just NYC:
Luminosity at ADE ended at 4, when Luciano was banging it out til 8ish next door (I liked that, could do both).
John Fleming was on 12-1:30 at MoS in February, lol, and it filled up close to end of his set because Neelix was coming on then.
Fleming warming up for Neelix?
please..., but so it went.
and just to prove the trance v. techno point, AME's "allnighter" went til after 6 |
