After EDMNY or whtever they're called bought esscala out they said they would be branching out into different genres so maybe that's what's going on here.

The reason these trance events don't go until 6 or later is because the crowd doesn't stay. The reason the crowd doesn't stay is most trance sets these days are too on/off.

What do I mean by on/off? Breaks. So many breaks. 1 minute break here, two minute break there, three minute break in the very next song. 4 minutes of beat and then 3 minutes of holding your hands in the air just doesn't keep the energy flowing, no matter how good a set is. Don't get me wrong, those sets are great to listen to when I'm sitting in my computer chair, but at a club keep that ing beat rolling. Edit your tracks if you need to, like Christopher Lawrence does.

Listen to some old trance tracks from the late 90s/early 2000s. They all have one thing in commmon; they keep the beat rolling. They still might have a "break," but in the old school breaks they still maintain a beat throughout, keeping the dance floor throbbing as the melodies build into a heavier beat.

My next releases on L*C*D are mostly breakless trance songs. BRINGIN' IT BACK.

I agree 100% with you.

3 hours is what we have to list officially, but once John gets into it and if he wants to go longer we are not going to stop him ;)

Just got a ticket to this. Haven't been out in about 2 months because of a torn ligament in my ankle so hoping it'll be good for this. Also, Sven Vath is the next weekend? woooo! Can't wait.

This drives me absolutely ing crazy. Those breaks are so much more special and powerful after hearing 20 minutes straight of dark wacky . Almost like the light at the end of a tunnel.

drops and breaks in every single song, i hope it dies soon.

I believe that was the other way around ;)

But yeah, youre right, i do remember mention of genre testing...so im not surprised to see house ect on rosters in the future.

Maybe this will be my opportunity to slowly find a way to like techno? HAHAHAH

i agree with this, not on a personal level- because i dont personally need that, but i see what youre saying here. I can see the difference, like the MA night, didnt have that- there was driving beat straight through to 5am.....and there was also a crowd through to 5am.

Im trying to remember in my past instances crowds in relation to music, but i honestly havent paid close enough attention. I selfishly love an empty dance floor, room for my drunk ass to bounce around like a fool HAHAHAH (but i realize that is in no way beneficial to the venue or artist...it just is what it is)
