Umm, since sniper rifles could be your basic hunting rifle they are easy to buy in the United States. As far as shooting... it isn't all that hard with a nice scope and some practice.
I hope we have some guys hunting down this ****** with extreme prejudice. |

this guy is different to most serial killers as his targets are seemingly random, and have no link to each other. He's also efficient and is being smart. I.e he doesn't want to get caught, so he's doing it from at least 800 Metres away.
(I say he, but u never know it could be a woman)
If i was police I would get a Military sniper and ballistics expert together and tell them to:
1: ballistics would determine what direction the bullet came from, as u could sorta guess via the trajectory of the wound.
2: Look when at which direction it came from, and use the military snipers knowledge to determine
1: the distance
2: a good posistion
I remeber reading in some magazine, that snipers bullets are incredibly accurate up to 1000 meters, but after that, they either dip or go above the original aim. Therefore, if all these people were killed by headshots, the sniper is in a 1km radius. And to get a good shot, I would think that he is in a high posistion.
Answer, look at every high floored building in the posistion, which was determined by the scientist guy, from 800-1300 metres away. |

its not that hard to buy a hunting rifle and put a scope on it. its ed up how readily available these weapons are in the states. apparently the guy is using an assault rifle...
the guy left a tarot card in the woods a few days ago that said "dear policeman, i am god."
dj mdma: even if they used the methods you suggest (which i'm sure they already have) the guy is leaving no clues. just empty shells. by the time you get the ballistics experts to examine the victim, well, you have another dead body and the sniper is long gone. |

Well we had a retard like that in aus a while back, and now all semi-automatic weapons are banned. With and assault rifle he could gun down 20 people in a matter of minutes, they are very dangerous in the hands of a madman, atleast with a bolt action he cant fire as many shots so quickly |

it dun matter what kind of rifle he has (bolt action, semi auto) cause he only takes one shot at each victim..
you know what's really ing scary now? this guy has NOTHING left to lose... he knows if he's caught, he's gonna get the worst possible punishment the law can hand out (i dunno if they have the death penalty in maryland)... a madman with nothing to lose, is there anything more dangerous? we might not have seen the worst from this guy... i hope they catch him real soon before he does something even worse. i can't imagine what that might be though... |

No, theres not. Theres a thing called the second amendment that gives citizens the right to bear arms, and for damn good reason. Even if you banned all guns, criminals would still get them. When someone busts in your house with a gun, what are you going to defend your life with?
Btw, I believe that the end to these shootings will be brought by a law abiding citizen who takes this guy down with his own gun. |

and that's EXACTLY the ing problem in the states... everyone's a vigilante with a gun.
i read in time that there are "border guards" in texas who shoot at mexicans trying to cross the border illegaly... these "law abiding" citizens are just violent vigilantes (i need a thesaurus, haha.. )
anyways.. watch that simpsons episode about homer and the gun... it does a pretty good job satirizing america's gun problem. |

interesting perception. In aust, if somone broke into your house and you shot him, youd probly get a longer jail sentence than he would, because here you cant get a gun for "protection" purposes, thats what the law is for. So if you have a gun you got it either for sport shooting or hunting, not killing people.
In the US it seems every paranoid and his dog is armed.... |
