I don't deny. The point is they're good enough. The difference between "flat" and "hyped" monitors is 2-3db at most. Flat frequency response doesn't mean if your room has peaks/troughs of +/-6db or more. Ya'll just get far too sucked into pro audio propaganda.

I used to have a pair of Events that were about double the price, so it's not like I've only used KRKs by the way.

All the power to you, I just think they sound like total ass in a bad way, where I compare the hsm5; that sound awful too but in a really good and useful way. Just a product I would never ever recommend to anyone under any circumstance... Propaganda is a stretch.

One more thing... Ignoring acoustics, I'd take JBLs and Yamahas over KRKs any day. I'm not retarded; I know they are much better speakers. The problem is they're all rear ported, which is a huge gamble for anyone who has to move around a lot for work (ie. you get stuck in situations where you're screwed and can't do anything to compensate even slightly).

Look at how Palm has his Genelecs a few inches from the wall. He has no idea that he's basically extending the port and ing up the tuning of the cabinet completely.

I would probably too, although very hifiesque but im comparing speakers that sound like ass here :p. I still think the HSM have a lot to offer uniquely.

There are a bunch of crazy s here. Its probably the same people with alts.

Anyway back to GAS, I been looking for something to replace omnisphere for etheral pads, textures, and soundscapes.

If the poly six isn't available first i'll get this if not both.

Kawai K5000, Additive Synthesis

After all that, then this.

We used to have a K5000S, definitely an interesting synth. Additive is pretty cool, you can get some very nice sounds out of it. Watch out for the screen dying/malfunctioning on them, and be warned that the keys become mega yellow after time, more than most keyboards seem to. It's kind of a known issue with them (you can kinda see it in that video, actually).

Sounds nice but doesn't sound varied enough to replace Omni to me at least for ambient stuff. The sound library that comes with Omni is hard to beat...

Ive been playing around with U-He Bazille which is in public beta atm, seems pretty cool but it is a huge CPU hog. To get more than 3 voices with any release on the envelope its eating like 46% CPU total across all cores on my 4.5GHZ i7 3770k :eyes:

I listed the JD 800 in the first page, it has less routing options but i like the fact thats it all sliders. I also need an additive synth, i'll get the JD soon enough tho.
