So yeah that Bazille CPU usage issue was caused by using reaper in Kernel Streaming mode. It was actually giving my all kinds of inconsistencies as well between playback and any kind of rendering to a file. Switched to ASIO, no more problems.
I wan't Diva, Zebra, and ACE now :D |

Anything that uses iLok is not something I would use pay for after the way they treat their paying customers. For example, accidentally overwriting their licenses in their production database locking people out of Pro Tools among other things... This hasn't just happened one time either.
Also Pro tools still has no "1-2 click freeze" for tracks using plugins, that would annoy the crap out of me even though I have a good CPU. Combine that with no offline rendering even with all tracks frozen AFAIK, seems like a huge time waster to me.
Why would you use Pro Tools over other DAWS, just curious? |

| I've used PT since v8 and it never ceases to amaze me how many EDM "producers" have no ing clue that it's exactly what it is: another DAW. It has its flaws and its advantages, but at the end of the day, it's no better or worse than any other DAW when considered as a whole. And, yes, it has a PRV and a full suite of MIDI-editing tools, so it's more than capable of making cookie-cutter EDM. Any DAW can do that. |
