Do you know how to use Google? Do you realize that even an EDM-hack like myself has finished more EDM tracks in PT, which isn't even my main DAW, than you've made in your entire lifetime? For a guy who has demonstrated absolutely no ability to create music, you sure do spend a lot of time crying about what other people buy and how they use it. Maybe you should spend more time thinking about you and less time getting butthurt over Juan's buying decisions. The only person that he needs to please is himself, and at least he is making music. |

I use logic as my mixer, able ton as a plugin to mangle stuff, plogue to make wicked retarded fx chains.
4 computers, 3 macs, 1 PC. Oh and 2 iPads with apogee duets used as visual feedback and the odd synth like Thor , and 2 iPads running lemur.
Disagree that a daw is a daw. Logic is handicapped in so many ways and don't get how people use it for edm. Other than a mixer. Fl studio is more powerful which is funny but not really. They have this free patcher thing and they are well ahead of most daw for edm. |

He is not making music, he makes unfinished intro wips. If this is enough to be called music to you then no wonder you have made many tracks in PT, if i were the count similar to that I have probably made 10.000 tracks. |
Isn't this what the wip thread is for, there is a finished promotional forum too you know. |

I agree FL Studio is a strong DAW. There are only two things I want to be able to do on it so far that I don't think you can and they are minor things. One is color code different sections of a song (intro, breakdown, climax, ect) different colors on the playlist. You can color code other things like mixer channels but not all of the patterns at any given time in the playlist.
Second, sometimes I move groups of stuff around on the playlist and in the process it duplicates so that there will be 2 of the same pattern playing at the same time (though I think it only plays one). So a feature that detected and deleted duplicate patterns would be nice. |

To receive constructive criticism during the production process...
Constructive criticism seems very difficult to get during the production process unless you have friends into production, so the wip thread is a nice place to discuss tracks in progress...
Have made some good changes while working on tracks due to the advice/suggestions of others...
On topic, FL studio is such a sick DAW for the price. I find myself using it more than Cubase 5 now...Though I like the render quality in Cubase better...
My GAS still includes a nice Moog hard. synth...just because it's more fun actually playing with the knobs than clicking on them. |

Was hoping for some thoughts or comments on how you use it, like/dislikes etc..
I guess my mind is pretty much made up already anyway from all the demos I've seen its just a case of raising the last few quid and ordering it. |

i still love the unit, it's a distinct sound and beats 3 layer VST basslines anytime IMHO.
can also go really low sine type bass, which is nice with 808 type drums on a more dubby vibe and you can get some very nice leads out of it too. |
