People will smoke reguardless, I will smoke reguardless. I would honestly rather support local mom and pop growers which is where most the good comes from now and days instead of big business and investors.

People are still having to pay drug dealer taxes as marijuana is still federally class 1. I just read a huge article how unless you grow an sell in Colorado you cannot even afford to stay in business due to these drug dealer taxes that dispensaries have to pay. Dispensaries who buy from people who are able to sell cannot get enough deductions to even make any profit.

Vote who ever you want to vote for and whatever you want to vote for, the 2 party system is a charade. It's all about the powerful corporations who fund these politicians to run in the first place. Obama, McCain, it doesn't matter. The end result is the same. Shrinking the middle class, getting the rich richer and keeping the military industrial complex going full throttle

You're missing the bigger picture.

Once it's legalized, and for a long period of time, you'll see things like the tax code and regulations being reformed.

It's unreasonable to go from prohibitionist laws to laws where it's completely wide-open legally. Baby steps.

I don't necessarily disagree with you with your view on what politics really is in the U.S. either. But I also maintain that voter apathy certainly doesn't help the cause.

im all for it man trust me. I just hate how it will be big business running everything. Colorado has the most pro mom and pop marinuana laws and they dispensary owners are barely breaking even.

I don't believe in the system thus I don't vote or refuse to do jury duty and as being an American citizen I still have that right. I respect people who do otherwise

If amendment 2 was really written to help chronically ill, I would personally think it would cater to small business ideas, quality and innovation. I have a family member right now who is looking terminal, I know for a fact this helps more than any med, I just hate to see every good thing turn into another money making opertunity for the top .05 percent of rich an investors instead of helping small business make a few bucks, deliver a good product and actually help fellow man.

Also the bigger picture will eventually be it being legalized through out the us, companies like rj Reynolds ect producing the vast majority because they can profit they most as their systems are already in place to grow and cultivate

Than comes companies like Monsanto using who knows what kind of genetic engineering and chemicals to make the crop more profitable and grow faster

Now u have lobbyist getting what they want in Washington, an inferior possibly dangerous product. It's the next big pharma, once they figure out a way to control everything it will be legalized, quality will drop and price will increase.

Not so sure about all that. It's NOT a pharmacy drug which requires sophisticated labs and highly trained chemists. It's a plant. I would think there would be lots of competition. IMO it'll mimic the craft beer industry moreso than the pharmaceutical industry. Sure, Big Ag will cultivate the most (like InBev and MillerCoors supply the most beer), but there will be enough "craft" growers producing high quality, potent cannabis.

Plus, you have to think of this crop differently than you do food crops. Food crops take up a whole lot more space. A person can eat like 3 potatoes in a meal. That's a lot of volume. Conversely, how much weed can one person realistically smoke? The stuff is relatively tiny. I don't know how big of an advantage these big companies really have. It's not like there's going to be weed farms the size of those cornfields in the midwest.

Is no one considering a large % of growers may just well be pushing to keep it illegal?
Faceplant
The best way to handle this IMHO till the Feds finally stop the prohibition is to make possession up to 20 grams a civil offense and only be able to give a ticket.

Once the fed stops the bs, each state can figure out how to handle what they want to handle

Your job could care less if u have a medical card and get hurt while working, they can still make u piss and still fire you even though your following the local laws

That's what happen out here in CA, when we tried to legalize it for recreation use. Growers, doctors, medical clinics, street dealers did not wan't it legal especially doctors who's sole business practice is to write medical recommendation. Suck's that you guys didn't get medical mj in Florida , but out here in CA Medical MJ business is a joke. Anybody with a drivers license can get one for 30 bucks. I know i worked in different fields in this industry. From working for clinics, to huge grow ops. A good percentage of MJ clinics are supplied by gangsters or own by shady people. It's an for profit industry out here.

I hate humans sometimes.

First guy, "So, who did you vote for? Did you vote for Amendment 2?"

Second guy, "I'm 2-0. I only pick the winners."

Later in the conversation.

First guy, "Did Jim ever finish college?"

Second guy, "Jim never finishes anything he starts. And he was doing communications. The easiest stuff college can offer."

I want to smack this mofo :whip:
