Is this authentic? The tracklist seems a little odd since I dont ever recall him playing 1998 and there isnt one of his own songs on this.

Yes there is - Rabbitweed. And I've got loads of Sasha livesets where he doesn't play any of his own tracks.

It looks authentic to me, the tracklist is pretty similar to the Live @ Logic, Los Angeles set from December 1997, which was only two months prior to this set. Check it: http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...=4#.VHyK8NKsW1s

Completely Missed Rabbitweed. That is pretty similar.

Recently found this in my collection after thinking it was lost forever. I've never seen this mix anywhere else - it was given to me whilst I was working in a record shop in Oxford in the late 90s. I was also there on the night itself..

This will do very nicely for the train down to London at the weekend.

Jez & Choopie - Yim (Hybrid's Sunrise Remix)

tune. great drums at the end section.

I don't have much to go by, but I'm looking for a Sasha set from around this same period of time (may have been Creamfields), and all I can remember was I think Pete Tong with a way over-the-top introduction of Sasha, "...Sashaaaaaaaaaa!!.' that proceeded directly into a track with a 30 or so second ambient intro, and one that I know was well-known and hammered out a lot by Sasha during that time.

Yeah, not much to go by, maybe this will sound familiar to someone...

EDIT: It also wasn't a studio intro, as I know Tong (or whoever) was on the horn and addressing what sounded like a festival-sized crowd.

What came to mind for me (at about 16:15)

Essential Mix 2003-08-24 - Sasha and Pete Tong, Live from Creamfields, Liverpool

Another possibility (at the beginning):

Essential Mix 99-05-30 Sasha, Pete Tong & Paul Oakenfold @ Homelands

Would anyone like to upload this to Sendspace? '97-'98 Sasha sets are so mint.

Wasn't there a John Digweed set where he also dropped Junk Project - Composure? Does anyone remember that one?

So I believe the tune you are talking about is his own unrealesed edit/remix of Jean Michel Jarre - Ethnicolor. Also I believe you might be confusing two different essential mixes that he plays this on. The first is the gatecrasher nye:

He starts it with that tune. The other one is one where pete tong is going crazy but he only drops it when digweed is done with his couple of tunes. this is from homelands 2000:

Sasha and John Digweed (Live From Homelands) Essential Mix 28/05/2000 by Bbcessentialmix on Mixcloud

BTW both mixes have tons of PLUR action! Jesus the pills must have been flowing like water at these venues.

Yeah, this one from Florida in '97. Again, quite a lot of similarities in the tracklist to this Sasha Cream set. It can be really difficult to tell Sasha and Digweed apart in the early years:

As for the mystery Sasha set I would suggest checking the one from Kelly's Port Rush.

It starts off with Paganini Trax - Zoe (Timo Maas Remix)
