What in the . That club looks like it belongs in Spain.

I never knew Crobar was like that. What was its capacity?!

I remember my older brother going there and telling me all about it... I was like 14 at the time :(

I would be excited if this was 2006.

There are tech related events left right and center week in and week out. A proper trance event is truly rare these days. Haters gonna hate.

You misunderstood me. I used to be a huge PVD fan. I saw him every time he was in NY (except 1 summer stage) beginning in 02.
He lost his integrity IMO. He plays trouse/commercial/fluff bs. Last i've seen him was at gov island few years back when he dropped Nalin & Kane - Beachball.

From what I was told (by pretty good and old school sources) his last few shows in NY weren't that great. His show during summer? was apparently much better than prior.

My memories of Paul, was him playing banging sets filled with proper trance, crossing over into techno with plenty of his productions. You always felt connected.

I might be wrong, I might be getting this all wrong..these are my opinions.

Saw him in Ibiza this summer at Amnesia and he absolutely ripped it, banging trance right from the start til end. Pretty excited for this one

his last few nyc shows have been mainly him playing some newer sounding trance stuff (has some trouse influces)
but mainly he just bangs out a lot of older classics. honestly the classics he is playing are really good trance i wont deny it
but its getting repetative. i mean how many times are you gonna come to nyc and play crush and time of our lives? he just seems lost where he is right now

like seb said. years ago he would come here and he had his own sound and would take you on a musical journey from prog, trance, techno etc etc
as good as this sounds i am gonna sit this one out and wait for the reviews
if he he does play new good trance music (not no armada ) than i will take the loss and just have to hit up his next party for sure
but if he comes here and plays the same tracklist he has been doing for the past 2 years than i know what i missed

Seems like we have conflicting reports. Seb says he plays ty trouse, AY Star says good, but repetitive classics.

The fact that this is at BKWHRS and no ty club BS is enough for me to grab a ticket. Haven't been to a trance event in a mniute.

Hopfeully RPM doesn't gauge (yeah right.)

Both Seb and AY Star are correct.

Didn't play any classics when i saw him for 2 hours for Cream this summer, legit from the start to end he went off.

Saw him for the Cream opening party this summer actually. My first Ibiza experience.

He ing killed it. He did play a few classics actually. From what I remember (other than his own): As The Rush Comes (G&D Remix), Robert Miles - Children, Take Me Away (Original Dub)... crap I can't remember others.

Either way, I'm very excited for this extended set. But I will admit that the three times I saw him before Ibiza this summer, I was very disappointed (I missed all of the governor's beach club events btw).

expect average, hope for the best.

im hoping for something like the g.I. set (missed it), that everyone raved about.

but that is not the form hes in mostly, there I agree with seb and ay.
his 1/14 royale set (he loves Boston, cause its easy money, with that ridic 1:57am close) was ok, nothing too special.

so again, hoping but with lowered expectations.

(now for that Dutch trance A-hole, in comparison you'd be a fool to think this, whereas for PvD theres still the chance)

- I can take repetition, I hardly ever hear it, lol
