generally agree with DJds, though I'd call it very good.
They did a good job moving the line, coat check was ok too, and there was always room to move, even up front (within what you'd expect there).
crowd too, very well behaved, def trance -family, but no problem.
the misses weren't too horrible, and it actually helps when you get a chance to step out fir water, etc.
end about 4:15.
so, not that 14 year ago set, but fun, I'd go back.
we'll see what objective track evidence will show :) |

My review.
Got there about 10:30 And for surprise there was no line...Everybody was moving in very quickly that was so great. Was no lines to the bathrooms ....great. Drinks were kind of expensive 14$ for coctail 10$ beer.. IMO that's little too much. Crowd was great...not like those punks who gets to governors island top less. PVD played really good set lots of classics and hard bangers. Was nothing fancy... just good music like old good days.
Probably track of the night for me The Thrillseekers - Synaesthesia Insane
Also was great to hear Modulations - Spirits (Slusnik Luna Remix)
Overall...really great party!!! |

| Synaesthesia was definitely the track of the night for me too. Also enjoyed Super8 & Tab - Elektra. Cressida - 6am (K&Y rmx) is always a treat as well. |

really great experience. the ONLY issue i had was the amount of smoke that accumulated on the dance floor. i never have a problem with smoking, but i had to step away from the floor for a bit because it became too much at times.
but everything else was near perfect. the dance floor wasn't too crowded, plenty of space to dance, no issues with the bathroom, plenty of bartenders, coat check was reasonable, and, of course, PVD threw down a banging set. it wasn't exactly a 6 hour journey, but the energy was off the charts at times.
highlight for me was "pvd - new york city" near 1AM-- the perfect song to play at peak time. |

Glad to hear this was a proper PVD party with that old school vibe we all love and miss.
I am semi-regretting not going to this. |

That was the first time that I've ever had ample room to dance properly for the entire duration of a long set.
Had a really good time. |

Wasn't his best set but had a great time regardless. A lot of new tracks and bangers with some classics mixed in.
Synaesthesia
Munhanjala -some remix
Schiller - I feel you (track of the night)
He played "Home" twice and "Guardians" twice lol.
Venue was great except, the line moved quickly. Crowd was pretty solid - everyone was having a great time and no douchers.
Cons:
No heat inside
$10 for budlight/bud and $17 for cheap vodka/monster is just a rip off, especially in Brooklyn.
Zero VIP experience - no VIP entrance, no VIP bar and there was no heat in that area. Only difference was a separate bathroom but not worth the extra $$$ |

Recalled tracks, in no particular order to get this started. Thinking back, the set from Gov. Island is a close match, with some fresh tracks weaved in. So, groundbreaking it was not, but he certainly created a great environment. Lot's missing here, so add in what you can.
Thrillseekers - Synthesthasia (Unknown remix)
Liquid Child - Diving Faces
Moby - New York (Arty Remix)
Cressida - 6AM (Kyau & Albert rmx)
PVD - Guardian (x2)
Second Sun - Crush (Adam Ellis bootleg)
PVD & Arty - The Ocean
Tangle - Sahara
Frank Dueffel - Horizon
Stella Project - Odessa City (John Sunlight remix)
PVD - Sun after the Heartbreak
Schiller - I Feel You (PVD rework)
Mat Zo - Superman
Push - Universal Nation
First State - Skies on Fire
Kyau & Albert - Are you Fine
Activa - Rise Above
Modulation - Spirits
Extravagance SL - Tama
Genix - Lux
PVD - New York City
PVD - I don't deserve you |

yeah, VIP was a total scam, roped off area with a bad view of the stage, I didn't even check into that area, stayed in GA the whole time. Might have been worth it if the place was packed to the gills, but it wasn't. And no separate entrance, that was the main reason I bought it. That Katzlist chick told me that VIP got to skip the line, I have it in writing. But the line wasn't that bad, I got there right at 10 and had to wait in the cold maybe 20 min. If it had been longer, I would be livid and it probably would've spoiled my night.
Lesson learned. I'll chalk that up to no recent experience.
But after so many years of being packed like sardines and only able to dance for a little bit in the wee hours of the morning, this was one of the best overall PVD experiences that I've ever had, and I've had a lot of them. |
