| Once again I ask a news related question just so I can see some feedback (and some bitch slapping) between the TA members. So feel free to post your oponions about the whole Sniper issue in the USA. The Demon has spoke.:D |

| so did u hear it is now considered to be a "terorist hostage situation" as the sniper apparently is asking for money and is threatening to start killing more children! now that's ed up! |

dude, the American Media (no offence) tries to Hype Tragedies like this up so high so that it boosts their ratings/swiss bank accounts. |

Dude- WHAT are you talking about??? If it were happening here in Canada, it would be front page news as well! A maniac picking people off randomly?! Come on!
And no offense, but Aspen Hill is the neighborhood where I grew up, in Montgomery County for most of my life, so, yeah- I care.
I know people who were at the scenes of the crimes just hours after the fact- so it hits a little to close to home for me. My former boss even had to turn over his guns for testing, since he owns several for target practice.
People are people, no matter what country they live in. |

Regardless, it is Still a tragedy. How would you feel if it was your mother or father just randomly killed for no reason at all while they were filling up their gas tank? Or a little brother shot while going to school?
Don't turn this into a political "american media is so bad" issue, because its not. It is a serial killer on the loose, so it should get just as much attention as Paul Bernardo did here, or Princess Diana's death. :P Any media would be doing the same in any country. |

| Well then it would affect me, but as far as it stand now it does now. I am just saying that I don't care much because it does not really affect me in any way. Perhaps it does now knowing that Nat grew up around there. Thing is I don't really care much about headlines as long as it does not affect me. Just liek with the floods in Germany it was Nowhere near my area where I was from so I did not care much, nor did any of my family inthe south get affected by floods. I am sorry to findout this is actally happening in Nat's old area but I mean not to offend. Unless it affects someone I know (like now) then I don't usually care one bit. |
