I love that style of house music, but I'd say it has more in common with disco I believe. If you listen to pop music of the late 90s and even now, there are many trance elements in the songs, though you could argue a case for 'organ house' since I hear elements of that in a lot of modern pop songs.

What's wrong with you, man?

I'm Technesto, the ultimate techno artist! It's deep and intelligent music. Maybe if you stopped listening to cheesy music for idiots and embraced the sound of the underground you'd get it...this is what all the cool DJs play!:whip:

I actually listen to niche genres of music, which I suppose you would call "underground." This is , dude. No offense.

Didn't you read System-J's posts? Only top DJs spin this. This is proper techno. You obviously know nothing about techno or music in general. Frankie Bones sucks, I'm awesome.:wtf:

I'm actually wondering what venues you hear the likes of Kaycee (or whoever it is you're talking about) still being played. You realize that this is a niche genre within a niche genre, right? And it's pretty damned cheesy. You can like it for nostalgia or w/e - I don't care - but you have to admit it's pretty much cheese. Just call it what it is.

Actually, yes.

Take a look at the recent threads I made, you'll see what's being played in the techno world right now. What you posted sounds nothing like it, so I wonder what the point of that was.

Satire.

To be honest, it sounds closer to the trance sound you like than to the "good" techno of today.

Can this thread be interesting again please?

You don't find a penis measurement contest interesting?

You must be confusing me with someone else, I'm afraid.

I don't even remember how this thread got derailed. Anyway, sorry if I seemed offensive, kosmotika, I wasn't intending to be.

Back OT:

Jeff Mills recently jumped on the acid bandwagon with this release, but it's rather paltry and tame compared to his earlier output.

Not that it's cheesy, but I've seen better and more interesting "amateur" Youtube recordings than this record. Of course the name will bring in a ton of buyers, no matter how it sounds.

Back to the music.

Chemical Brothers:

Their latest single "Go" was trash. Terrible. Not saying the other Q tip features tracks of the past were good, but they were much better. "Get Yourself High" still receives regular plays in my rotation.

Fatboy Slim
"Eat Sleep Rave Repeat" .....was just bad. How do you go from the Mighty Dub Katz to producing tracks like "eat sleep rave repeat"
