Pathetic. You got nothing apart from to go meta.
First, I posted up the initial mentions/ details of this story over two days ago, and then, you did your usual snarky little shot about none of it being true, and in your own words "it would be everywhere" if a shred of it was.
But unfortunately, it backfired for you as right at that belated moment you decided to chime in, it was literally popping up everywhere.
You've made these snarky little comments (for which several people on TA are kinda getting bored of if you haven't noticed recently) in this case about these stories going no where, when in fact it turned out to be a perfect case in point of the contrary. And even if they don't, what the is it to you?
So either contribute something meaningful or at heart humorous (and the sad thing is you probably could to these discussions) or off; this isn't your thread and I don't give a if you don't want to discuss the Russians, in a thread titled .....The Russians.
Otherwise, practice what you preach and just ignore it, like you keep telling me and mystery (et al) to do with soulstar606, Serial Killer etc.
And just remember, you said, nothing I've posted turned out to be true.
Well it turned out true enough to warrant a full Senate committee investigation and now an FBI probe. |

I don't think you're following. I know what you're talking about is front page news, that's why I told you to stop regurgitating it back to us. However, the little details upon which you're foisting your ty analysis are not noteworthy. This Russian "contact" was already known days ago when the FBI sat down with Obama and Trump to discuss it. It doesn't change the state of play.
You're not telling us anything that we can't read ourselves, summarised better and with more expertise, from any major news outlet, and yet you keep getting over-excited about nothing details that go nowhere. And to top it off, you keep replying endlessly to any lunatic that takes you up. It's getting to the point where 80% of any of these politics discussions consists of posts by you, soulstar and Serial Killer, which is making them pretty ing tedious. |

Oh no, I'm on point, and while you're quite smooth at doing it, you're trying to change the direction here, and that's why I said you've gone meta.
You said (and I'll save us both from quoting you) that the I post is mindless supposition that just doesn't pan out. You're now trying to shift it to I'm just regurgitating facts we already know. Sorry, but It's no possible to be both.
Clearly, several days ago (actually weeks ago in the other threads here) when I started posting about these, this wasn't even breaking news yet and there was no actual evidence there was true contact with Russian officals. That's when you said it's just more pie in the sky nonsense, even stating if it were true it would be everywhere.
You called it out as another alleged fantasy by me that won't come to anything etc, but right after it did and while you were doing so, the story blew up and is now, Front page news everywhere, something you also said it wouldn't be.
So it's not a case of me "regurgitating" some known fact that's already been flogged to death as you accused, and if you just look at how this story has evolved, it's getting deeper, more salacious and even more troublesome for Trump, and will at least result in a grilling from a senate panel.
Same thing with the trump university; I said from the outset while people said it was baseless, that he was going to pay a price, and despite all Trump's protestations that he "never settles", he actually settled for the highest possible award in the case, and there's still two other class actions ongoing in that case that he's also going to have to settle, not to mention an ongoing criminal probe, something which most people think is long over and forgotten about - again, another case in point, it's not, and I'll keep posting while it is.
Finally, I was actually going back and forth with Lira over some of this so it's not just me and soulstar etc.
The point still remains, if you don't like this thread or don't find interest in what I or anyone else posts in it, please feel free to ignore it. But if you've got something meaningful to contribute, even if it's to say something contrary to is being posted then I welcome it. Just don't sit there and snipe away becuase it's an eyesore. |

You're getting mixed up between me claiming that it's not true that Trump's team have been in contact with the Russians, and me claiming it's not right to claim "The one possible impeachable/treasonous thing (Trump contact with Russian officials) looks like it's about to be confirmed", to use your exact words.
If it had been confirmed that Trump had done something impeachable or treasonous, it'd be lit up on every news website in the world immediately. An FBI investigation is confirmation of nothing. That's my point. We don't need you breathlessly recounting every single twist in the tale as though it's major news, or you've hit on something the major networks have missed.
You're trying far too hard to engineer a checkmate when there's clearly nothing doing. If you want to share the updates and keep the discussion going, copy and paste an article like Nick did and keep your third rate triumphant analysis to the minimum. |
