lol
believe me, people reach new peaks of dumbness every day..... aspecialy when it comes to trance....
but why does the dumbness have to be about trance all the time? is the music really THAT wierd?? sheesh!! :eyespop:
Acid John
thanx for the insight dj flesch.

i dont think i would really let him do that. i was just pissed off the day i typed that anyway

if im talkin to him and the topic comes up again, ill tell him that it wouldnt be a good idea for him to spin live at a party because he doesnt fully know what he is doin yet, but i'd be willing to teach him.

lol, but what if he says something like "no, i know what im doin, i dont need ya to teach me" (i kno him well, there is a decent chance he will say sumthin like that)

oh! and I had my first club gig about 2 weeks ago.... and a friend was driving me over there.... so he asked me if he could do a few mixes while I'm up there (he has no gear, he trainwrecks EVERY mix he tries and gives me that "listen to my awsome mix! it's beatmatched like my face but that doesn't matter cause I'm such a hot DJ" smile....)... so I said no, and added: "get some gear, listen to some tracks, and learn how to push the buttons before you even think of humiliating yourself in a club" (pushing the buttons - on the CDJ... I spin CDs...).
so the f**kface starts laughing at me!!! he said "yeah right, man! why don't you just admit it? you know I'm better than you"....

I almost beat the crap out of him, but I passed, remembering he's my driver... so I just said "man, you don't have any gear! how can you decide you're ANY good??" so he answers "it's a gift..." yeah right!!
so I said "well, if you're so hot and god gifted, how come they hired me to play there and not you?" then he just giggled out of inconvinience and didn't answer.....

lol..... the best part was, he begged me all the way there that I'll let him mix, and when we got there, he saw the crowd and freaked out! and when I started mixing, he saw he can't compare to me... so he said "wow! I see you have been practicing..." and got out of the booth........

oh dear, what is this world coming to.......

LOL...that's pure jealousy! What kind of a friend is that? I'm glad you handled it well, and didn't freak out or anything! Next time he'll think twice :)

Hahaha... I can't believe that Tiesto comment. Everyone knows he has always been a CD DJ since the start.

All very good points.. but those are usually the people who say...

"Errrr teechno.. thats not music, you can put that together in 5 minutes using a computers, its just drum beats and little noise.."

Ummm okkkkk

LOL

I remmeber one time at a party the DJ was late.. like how often does that happen? lol so lucky me always carries the tools for satisfaction, popped in a PvD Liveset.. and man.. the people went wild.. lol.... don't yah just love those Kodak moments, then they though i was the DJ because i was behind the CDJ'z, but all i did was press the PLAY button.. lol...

Then the "REAL" DJ came.. thats when i left for home...

Darude - Sandstorm was his opening track.....

Go figure...

Well aren't we smart.. lol

Yes i did... what a ed up $1 jukebox DJ.. come on...

As Tiesto refuses to spin this track.. i refuse to go to a party that plays this crap.. i consider my hearing to be left for the 3l33t sounds of trance... not ed up cheese like that!
Acid John
yep...arent i captain obvious!

it read like you had already decided to leave once the dj got there, and on the way out u heard him spinnin sandstorm. oh well, my bad.

i agree with you tho. i wont play sandstorm myself, or even bother to listen to a dj that plays it.

i cant think of what he played later if sandstorm was his first track!!!:nervous: :nervous: :nervous:

lol...... next time (which is the 14th of febuary... WOOHOO!!!) I'll get someone else to drive me there.... cause with all due respect, I don't need this crap! I need to focus on not letting anyone bother me do my job as good as I can....
the guy will still be my friend.... but he can forget getting in the DJ booth with me or having anything to do with me as a DJ, till he accepts the fact that he can't mix....

now, this other friend who's driving me to my next gig, he doesn't give a crap about DJing.... he plays guitar and just wants to have fun.... and in that same night, there will be a band he likes playing in that club... so I promised him I'll get him in for free and he'll be in the booth with me as long as the band plays (better view :D), and in exchange he'll drive me there...
