But guitars are popular as ever, and you don't see Best Buy selling those! Turntables & Mixers should be treated the same way as musical instruments.
I've got mixed feelings on this, but mainly, it pisses me off.

they were never intended to be used as musical instruments....they hav always been part of the home electronics, it was used to play records and it still does that. YOu cant create music with it so its not an instrument is it

Dude, you must really suck at spinning if you feel threatened by random kids being able to buy technics at Best Buy. With the increased availability of turntables, it could only make DJs better because of more competition. You know what that means . . . .SICKER DJS IN THE FUTURE!! WOOHOOOOO!!!

I totally agree with Taub that EDM is growing and I hope it does grow. My only argument against that is that I don't want it to become too comercial. I would like to see more of it on TV, but not to the extent that pop and hip-hop is. Because then it will not be up to the quality level it is at now. But otherwise I wish it gets bigger in the US, but still have a little of the underground in it, whatever that means:conf:

Amit has brought on soo many DCTAs on to tranceaddict...there is a need for more people like him, with his views. Look at him now....he digs prog, but he doesnt say "ohh prog is only for me" no he doesnt, but what does he do? he shares his songs with other and try to educate them and show them what prog has to offer so others can expiernce what he expirences. Just like that you have to show non EDM listners what EMD has to offer.

i get a pat on the back :). thanks matt :)
