Ok So i'm the new member of this page..
Let me start off by saying that it kicks arse; people are cool, the info is great, and the overall vibe is chillie.
Ok so now for the important stuff:
I'm new to the rave thing (been a triphop fan for a few years now).
I went to a few rave parties this month and boy did the kick ass.
1. I was wondering if you guys could hint me on some places i could hit weekly in the city where the music is trance or progressive house?
2. I want to learn how to rave, any places on line? books? tapes? People keep saying go to places and watch people, but that does not work it's too fast, and it's too loud to ask. my friend showed me one trick and i've been practicing, it kicks..

get some beer, rent Groove and Human Traffic, sit back and watch. Youll hear this a thousand times, but raving is just being what you want to be out there, let it all go, the anxiety, the "what are other people thinking" and just have fun. You dont have to do at a rave. that being said, if you like liquid and popping and stuff try to find some liquid pop collective vids, or just do a search for liquid or popping in your favorite download machine. If you are asking about the culture...used to be PLUR, now its UGH mainstream lol, so no one gives a about anything any more except a couple softies wondering what happened...sniff :nervous:

1. You need lots of candy(candy necklaces, candy bracelets, blow pops. tootsie pops, etc...)
2. You need lots of white and bright colored clothes(for the blacklights of course)
3. You need lots of drugs
4. You need lot's of Darude and the like
5. You need a lot more drugs to listen to like Darude. |

Here are few more rave suggestions:
1. Some of the best action is at the beginning of rave, so get there at least an hour early.
2. To make your experience more enjoyable you'll want some Ecstasy, so look for a well-built guy with his arms folded. Tell him your looking to score some X. If he ignores you, speak up; he probably can't hear well that's why most wear an ear piece (hearing aid). Note it helps if you wink at him when you say X. If he calls you a Narc (code for I'm busy now) just nod to him and come back later. Just remember the key to success is persistence.
3. Now its time to pick up some chicks. Go up to a group of girls and ask them if they would like to come back to your place after the rave. If they're hesitant, tell them you got plenty of GHB (Ecstasy like drug made especially for women). If you get kneed in the groin, don't worry, girls love this drug so much they'll do anything to get their hands on it. Just remember don't give up if you don't succeed. Keep trying.

Poor newbie can't take a joke, funny thing is he didn't say anything bout the previous posters, so i must assume he's boning up on Darude as we speak. :haha: :stongue:
