Reasons why ppl hate trance . . .food for thought.

Dont get me wrong, i love trance DUH . . . but when my friends complain about the music and the club scene, I understand what they say:
1. Trance songs are too long.
2. Not really danceable . . .i can somewhat see this because most of the trance shows i go to, majority of the ppl just jump up and down with their hands up in the air.
3. Too cheezy (too melodic)
4. Sounds like Nintendo music
5. Candyravers
6. Weird lyrics/scary vocals
7. No one knows the songs unless youre a tranceaddict.
keep adding to the list.
Prog-house and Tech-house music is the way to go :) |

candy ravers in Trance ? come on ..... most TAs hate raves themselves ( personnaly I don't mind them )

My mates who dont like dance music use the following excuses:-
It all sounds the same :rolleyes:
It has no vocals:rolleyes:
It has no emotion:whip:
It has no musical skill invloved - just skills with machines :whip:
Just really not my thing, I like live instrumentation - fair enough I suppose - One day they may see the light. |

hahahaha i know someone (big hater of trance) that said that while he was listening to trance in my car. i quickly changed to something that had vocals and obviously, he just shut up on the spot. |

I live in california and j00 are wrong about candy ravers. There used to be a quite a number of them, but very few remain. |

i read all of ur post. u said u understand why ur "friends" think its , listed loads of reasons why trance is , and then conviniently slipped in a "tech and prog is great" comment. |
