nice one! sounds like a fkn pearler of a night. Here's hoping we get some different trax down here (Armin played Communication, For an Angel, Seven Cities and The Weapon when he was in Melbourne last). And how on EARTH did you ID From the Heart? Do tell, I wanna try and pick it in 7 days time... :D
Did anyone go see Dave Seaman? |
Yah, I saw Davo
Well I just came online after waking up about 1 hour ago, and eating a load of food, and trying to walk, and I'll now add about my night.
Got there about 10, went in, got told to 'cloak' our cameras as theyd be confiscated, but got it later after helen told me "who gives a " and everyone else was as well.
We looked around, there was no one in any arenas, just standing around, so we went outside, waited for Helen and Cameron to turn up, and Sidney was with them as well, Great to meet you guys! You dudes ing rock!
Then we went in, I think me and Ves went into the GU arena, and some dude was playin, it was ok. Then we headed out for the meetup, finally found people, thanks to Helen, Cam and Sidney's 1337 spotting skillz, we met Webmeister (don't worry you don't look like Toady man!), Chookie (love the shirt, Gumby was a champ!), Justin(FB) (werd for organising the whole thing dude! You rock!) and some other people, you were all mad!
After this and taking a photo (its ) me n ves headed into GU and went to the front, I think it was Mark Dynamix playing, he was pretty good, then 15 minutes late, after the crowd had built from miniscule to massif Dave took the stage to a cheering crowd, as soon as he started it was notably Seaman style, nice bassline, more dancy than Dynamix. Dave was going off! The gurners at the front moved off leaving the true fans :p Dave was hammering it now, standing and singing to every vocal song, looked like it was him singing, but then as he progressed on we hear the sounds of a remix of a song from Airdrawndagger (dunno which, can't remember), then BEDROCK - EMERALD (Filterheadz Remix) OMFG Me and Ves singing the melody! Then after a few more tracks JAMES HOLDEN - NOTHING (93 Returning Mix) OMFG OMFG! Me and Ves going nutterz! By this time I'd aqquired a pen from Helen, and got Dave to sign my 016 and 022, then he finished with a nice track with some guitar. IMHO, too many vocally tracks, but still ing awsome!

Then JUNKIE XL (apart from looking . . . interesting . . . ) first track INFUSION - LEGACY (JUNKIE XL MIX)

I was dying, tha bass the melody, I was singing at the top of my lungs, and so was Junkie, and so was everyone, what a in SWEET TRACK!!! But we departed for Armin after that track.
Enter Armin, push way to front, see Fush, Helen, Cameron, Sidney, Web, Justin, Ulli and Colin (my mates) going nutterzz! ARMIN WAS GOING OFF! Whlest in Armin I met Hyperdimension and I was accitdentally elbowed in the head from behind, turn around he says sorry, I'm like "yeh cool" then he goes "Trancey Ash" and I go yah and you be? "Crasher Kid" SICKKKK! "How you recognise me?" "Your Gu shirt!" WOOOOOOT! Werd to you man, Great to meet you. Armin was going off, when he played 3 Fingers - Frozen Fubuary (Flake Mix) OMFG! then PvD - For An Angel WOOOOOOOT! ALl of us were going nuttzz! I know there were alot of good photos taken up there, let see them ey, I'm uploading mine so I'll post them tonight. ARMIN WENT OFF, Great to meet him too. Here are a few Armin photos. :D

After Armin went to Sander, ME SANDER IN THE ING HIGHEST!!!!! THIS MAN IS ING BRILLIANT! For me Sander was set of the night, so much prog energy, 1337 mixing! TOP TUNES! I remember sying to Helen "If Sander play My Lexion I'm gonna explode" then what happens MY LEXION!!!!!!!
O M F G!!
I was dying! He was going off, Cameron was there too and fush and ulli and colin. Then borrowed another pen, got my NuBreed signed :D then after Sander finished with his new track (WHICH WAS BRILLIANT!) me and hels went and got photos with him :D Hes a champ, even though he looked totally coked up!

:D
Caught some of Andrew James, played Trisco - Ultra
, anyone at PVD last year would have heard this track, awsome, just awsome, and Andrew James, first DJ me seen to listen to headphones through his beanie!
But overall a ing Amazing NIGHT! My best event ever (better than Elevation  ) and to all the TAs
YOU ARE ALL LEDGENDS!
All the nicest, friendliest, coolest people but I'm realy dissapointed I didn't meet Itchy :( What were you wearing man, maybe I saw you in GU?
BUT YEH!!!!!!!!!!!!! Me Never Forget

As far as i know by reading the 3d World magazine, that Channel V had cameras in TT and were actually displaying what TT was like on the V Channel...
I don't know if this was displayed live, or is yet to be broadcasted.
No matter what, i still need to check it out....need to find someone with foxtel first. |

THere is nothing more that I can say, then what has been already said, except:
* Armin is an absolute legend without a doubt (killer tear jerking frenzied hugging moments: Frozen February, Seven Cities, Universal nation, SOLAR COASTER especially in that moment when armin holds the music silent right before that familiar tune kicks innn....
"YOUR SOOOOO COOOL...........................>>" That moment seemed like an eternity... and the crowd erupted.. and there was joy all through the arena.
* Dave Seaman, always been one of my favourites and after last night he definitely still is. His mixing is second to none but i think hes very underrated.
* Nervous played a killer 1 hr set, not much you can do in one hour.. but it was up to standard of the international acts that would follow.
* HELL, Even Judge Jules played a pretty good set, though I know many of you TAs wounldn't like to admit it, but I think he played quite a nice mix of house and trance. DONT HATE THE JUDGE!
* I missed Sander (*KICKS MYSELF*) but the COPPERS wouldnt let me in to the GU arena for some reason.
*Warp Bros sounded okay but I didnt stay in there long enough to get a feel for them.
*Layo and Bush, well they're not really my cup of tea but I did see quite a few people enjoying them.
* All up it was a great night, I'm sorry I couldnt meet up with the TA crew as i had no way of identifying anyone since there were no rides and no Red bull stand and by the time armin came on i was too caught up in the moment to leave my mates when we were enjoying his killer set. Though I must say without Armins AWESOME set, this year may have fallen quite short of last years TT, not mention having to beat down sniffer dogs off my ass.
Quote of the night: some coked up MC.

A great night out it was.
The security IMO wasn't tight, but luckily I avoided the guard whose line I was in as I saw him check this chick's purse & had he checked my wallet (which I would have protested, unless I'm barred entry), he'd have found my chewies hidden. It's stupid to confiscate chewies anyway. No rides as said on flyer, but they're not to be believed anyway. All rave players are ing bull! :whip:
Spend most of the night in between Godskitchen and the hardcore arena. There was a funny moment there when the power all went out and crowd jeered the DJs with chants of BULL!!! :D hahahaha
Though the next morning was cold and lucky I didn't plan on wearing my sleeveless there. :D
However I won't be returning next year. |
