oh my what a night, or weekend i should say. I just got home, from well two tribes i guess, although that was a while back now. If my post is a little incoherent its probably due to the lack of sleep and diet consisting of one slightly chilled mars bar and 2 lemon lime powerades since saturday arvo - god's food...mmmmm. Anyway, i was planning to come to the meetup and on condition i could get a park relatively quickly i would have made it in the nick of time. Yet, just as we were 5 minutes or so from homebush, i say as a joke to the people in my car 'so everyone got their tickets', and get a reply of 'uh oh'......., great start to the night. So back we drove, picked up the ticket and made a speedy entrance.

Got in just before seaman came on, and as much as i love my prog, i didn't expect alot from him. Yet he definately exceeded my expectations, and played a pretty nice set all in all. Does anyone know the track he played after dinosaur adventure 3D??? i really want that track....

And so then came junkie.....after falling in love with his recent works i thoroughly enjoyed his set, started with legacy....what more could you ask for. It was pretty funny when the lighting changed red and blue when the lyrics 'take the red pill, take the blue pill' came one. I was expecting him to play his mix of emerge, which i was disappointed about. But then came sander, and then came emerge. Second track in, brought back memories of sasha dropping it way back when. Never have i seen a DJ with as tight mixing skills as sander, the guy must mix in is sleep or some . Never have i heard such quality tracks either, just heavy prog to start off, then the trancier sounds of my lexicon and the like. ing brilliant. The guy is a dead set wizz behind the decks, and possibly the best DJ i have ever seen.

Then came andrew james and his half cheesy, half trancy, half housey, half set, so i left. Headed down to layo & bushwacka to hopefully catch them play let the good times roll, but was out of luck, and was very unimpressed with their mixing, anyone else notice this???

anyway, nuff bitching, but a wicked night all in all, and now looking back at the photo's i realise i was standing right behind helen, matt, ves, and waxology i think for when sander was playing. Matt, did a girl next to you ask you about your camera when you were taking a photo of sander, if they did, that was my friend, and i didn't even realise at the time.....

Anyway i'm finally going to bed, thank god i don't have uni till tuesday......

peace out :o

O_o memories!

Arrrrrrgh, found it hard enough to go to sleep thinking about Saturday night... now these pics :D

It's just taken me ages to read through this thread!

It was awesome to get to meet all you TA's!

It's pretty normal for a Sydney Event for them to confiscate chewing gum, I always put it in my shoe, no worries!

Sniffer dogs were there til about 3am...........WTF??

Armins set was amazing, I'm speechless!
Layo and Bushwacka were awesome, I got to go up on the stage with him and see what he was doing, it was quite funny cos he was really ed! (I had to get down when some dude got up on the stage to dance...Grrrr!)

Re: the organisation of ther night: couldn't organise a root in a brothel:whip:

Did anyone notice peewee ferris out the back with his groupies, ew yuk!
Hybrid Junkie
Ahaha groupies.........are you sure it wasn't an angry mob out for a lynchin??? :D

I must say that the organisation of the night was pretty bad. It really felt like a lot of it was still being put together on the fly.

Compare it to Transmission two weeks ago.... now that night was well organised. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that Transmission should be the benchmark for how events are run. (well, the last Anthems Evolution at least).

Got to spend an hour or so chatting to Dave Seaman and Layo/Bushwacka at the end of the night, very cool guys! The things they can do with their decks are just amazing! I mean, backspinning the record for a second or so, to end it at exactly the right spot and in beat match. WOW!

Watching Bushwacka beat match was amazing. Plonk vinyl on, adjust speed, spin record half a revolution, then give it one small adjustment. Done! Whole effort, about 3 seconds!

The security guys were really cool, chatted to a few of them, but the site guys (the ones that shut down L&B's set 10 minutes early) were complete twats. They dragged L&B up to the production office after shooing all the punters... Matthew was NOT in a happy mood about that :)

All in all, a great event, Armin and L&B made my night.

Loved meeting you guys.... maybe I'll post a bit more now.

Oh, saw peewee grab 4 groupies after his set, and then another couple after armins. Not a pretty sight :)
