| He might not be my favorite producer or DJ, but I do respect what he has done for the electronic music scene and continues to do. His ingenuity and passion are very likely unmatched. |

You don't know anything about Paul or how he is effected by anything so keep it to yourself. I'm not going to bother. You obviously have no idea of the way Paul has helped to spread the message of peace all around the world so i'm not going to list off examples to prove it to you.

Alright-- just because I have Judge Jules in my Signature and avatar = I know nothing about anything going on ever. That makes a whole lot of sense. I'm sick of these ing celeberties trying to act like all they want is peace in the world. Well WHO THE DOESN'T WANT PEACE? EVERYONE WANTS PEACE! Its just not gonna happen w/ crazy people at the helm. PVD needs to realize that-- when he wears shirts that say " NO WAR NO WAY" it shows me how he supports killing of innocent victims. All I know is this is the same that went on during WWII n no one wanted to step in n do anything about it (especially the USA) If everyone wants to step back n let some hippie settle this peacefully I hope you can deal with more deaths on your conscience. GOD DAMNIT |

Miss Vandit: I just wonder how you seem to know so much about Paul.. ever talk to him? You related to him? How do you know his views on humanity and the war? And i dont know if you noticed or not, there are 15 000 members to TA and less than 100 replies to this post.. therefore this post does not represent the opinions of TA as a whole. And some ppl WONT like Paul no matter what he does.
I think Paul has a stronger personality than you make him out to have.. no one gets to the top of the music business w/o tenacity and audacity. If he were the gentle lamb you make him sound like, he wouldnt be where he was today. And no, he is not an altruist just for playing live all over the world.. he got paid for it last time i checked.. |
Hi - I don't think we have spoken before so Hi! I met Paul a couple of years ago in certain circumstances when I was travelling the world and we became really good friends. I'm now a photographer for him. I know his views on the war etc. etc. because I talk to him very often about it. That's all I really want to say on that subject.
I apologise if I made it out like Paul doesn't have a strong personality and that he is merely a gentle lamb - that's not what I meant to portray. He does have a strong personality, very much so. Very business minded and if he wants it, he will get it and all that, it's pretty obvious. My reasons for believing Paul is an altruist are not simply because he plays all over the world. It is because I know him as a person and I know it for a fact.
I don't want to get into this anymore. It's my final post on anything Paul for a long time.

So Miss vandit you are admitting you have a slanted opinion towards PVD, having personal affiliation with him (good for you). How can you participate in this topic?
Since you do know him, can you ask him if he ever plans on using a different kick drum? And hihat? and clap? and production style? and basic setup of instruments? a change from him would be refereshing.

every producer uses the same style of drums and over and over again. that's how one can define a certain producers style... |

Something of interest to note: simply because I post quotes of people supporting him, does not necessarily mean I in turn support him. READ: don't make assumptions. Assumptions start more flame wars than there are bpm's in speedcore :D
On a personal note though, I don't like speedcore (sad that I feel I must be xompletely explicit with everything in order to avoid dooming flames of doom). In addition, I have a great respect for PVD's skills on the decks and in the studio, as well as for his passion for the music. However, he is not my favorite DJ or producer - I simply recognize talent when I see it, and respect it. I would seriously give my left nut (or right nut for that matter) to have the skills PVD has on the decks and in the studio. This DOESN'T mean I wish I could have produced the same tracks he did or spin the same sets he did, I only wish I had his talent.
PVD is indeed attempting to add something new to his style, which can be hard to do without alienating his current fans. I respect him for having the proverbial balls to do it.
Peace all. I hope after posting this I don't look like 'ol toothy here:toothless |

hihi
1) in the immortal words of justin timberlake, cry me a ing river. well, ok, i added the 'ing' part, but seriously this is absolutely NOTHING compared to what TIESTO copped at the end of last year. this brings me to...
2) where the were you to defend tiesto? oh thats right, tiesto cant possibly have any feelings for world peace and humanity, he's just some empty shell producing and mixing. forget the fact that his productions are consistantly better than pvd's, as are his sets, there was only a miniority willing to stand up for him before.
3) why are u so fragile? i mean seriously, pvd's in the entertainment business, not the 'TAKE YOU TO ANOTHER STATE OF CONSCIOUSNESS' business that many promoters would have you believe. if he can't hack due criticism, if he feels the sky is falling down, then he shouldnt be in the business. dont be such a ing drama queen and say 'oh a cuss against pvd is like a stab in my heart!@'
like ing seriously, get over it. |

Dear Miss Vandit,
Spreading the message is one thing however acting is another. There are over 200 million children suffering in child labour worldwide and no DJ, no politician, no sportsperson is doing enough to rectify it. Those who are, are missionary ppl and they do it for an unbelievable reduced amount if even a thankyou or even nothing. They don't get $5000-$15 000 for their gigs (like wonderful producers like PVD) the heroes helping in third-world countries save more lives than spreading the word ever can and they are on-site right now helping those who require it. They have sacrificed their careers to help those in need first hand and not just spread the word.
The world is in poverty due to ppl like Saddam and President Mugabe
It's easy for all of us because we have the opportunity to express our view, unfortunately alot of others don't and that is why this world is fuc*ed.
I wish there was more support for those in need and less talking. |
