Heh, I let this kid listen to my MP3 player one day because he wanted to listen to some "techno". I had some trance on the player but he had to turn on some real techno, Koenig Cylinders- 99.9 (Selway Remix), and was that a huge mistake. He makes fun of me everyday for it now (the song is very repeative and uses the vocals "99.9" over and over). So he goes and tells everybody in my physics class I listen to "techno" and then mocks the song making some stupid beat and saying "99.9" over and over.

I let someone else in the class listen to some trance the other day (G&D present Motorcycle- As the Rush Comes (Sweeping Strings Mix) and he said it actually wasn't half as bad as the other kid made it out to be and enjoyed it quite a bit. It's the ignorant, narrow-minded ******s that don't understand our music.

Oh gimme a break  Do we have to be so specific about the genre classification?
Inertia
in any case, it is prog trance.

anyways, i know what you mean technohead. people say that here a lot too, them what do i care. their loss. and, dude, take a few hot women out to a club with a prog/house/tribal/techno DJ. women go nuts over funky house, progressive trance, techno and tribal, basically, keep em where theres lots of percussion (must have to do with the subwoofers, vibration :stongue: )

anyways, ive converted quite a few people in my day, still cant get
anyone in my class to actually come to an event with me, either their parents wont let them or some other reason, but the day will come when i will have all my friends listening to good music!

tracks ive noticed the females dig:
danny tenaglia - elements
x-press 2 - smoke machine
tomaz vs. filterheadz - sunshine
steve lawler - rise in
iio - at the end (saeed & palash/scumfrog mixes)
daniel mode - muzik pressure
G&D - acid elliot
women seem to adore Marco Carola's, Steve Lawler's, Danny Tenaglia's
and some old school EM World Tour Oakenfold sets.

also, people, dont be pissed at the ignorants who call all electronica 'techno', hell, before i got educated, i called it 'rave', when i was, um, 11. but still, its out of ignorance and arrogance, both going hand and hand. i normally shut them up when they say they paid 150 bucks for a VIP ticket to Shakira and had fun, and i reply i payed 20 bucks to see Deep Dish, had the best freaking time of my life, watched world known legendary artists play better music than Shakira will ever know, and all this for over 10 hours.
whereas shakky played what? 10 songs for 150 bucks... haha

i think thats what spoils it for the average person

b96 was a lot better like five years ago for playing trance..

dude, i like some techno music. isnt that the kind that goes like "Um Tish Um Tish" for like an hour? and has those lyrics like "yeahhhhhhhhh i'm doin extacyyyyyy feel my bodyyyy!" ?
whiskers
back in the days when i listened to only my underground tapes, i didn't even know what it was. one day this guy at school asked me what i was listening to, and i let him listen, so he was like "oh, techno, all right". so i thought to myself, "oh, so that's what it is, techno... i guess i like techno"
btw, the tapes were like goa and really deep trance

see, techno was the first electronica subgenre to be born, so everyone labeled everything after that "techno", because really, everything takes roots at the synth techno kraftwerk created... it evolved into what we have today... but it's still not a good excuse to call it "techno"

The general american teenage public thinks of trance as "techno" and listens to either rap, pop, or punk. The disitegration of human society. All I hear is in 50 cent bein blasted by cars. Its retarted. When I finally get a car :o its Tiesto 24/7, or some dnb which has more power and will blow the outta their rap crap. Dam i wish i lived in europe.

i have converted my whole accounting class(27 or so) to trance. they were like what is this and i said some good they all laughed but i stayed strong by the music and everyone asks me where it is when we are in the class now. and chicks dig music that makes them move.

and a reply: "Man, you are so wrong. There are some incredible techno songs out there, just gotta look for them.

Good example: Angel Trance Version by Ralph Fridge."

do you guys always feel the need to make fun of americans?
ShyTrance
swedish teenagers are not better...

All trance, dance, house etc. they call i techno...
The only track they know is that "blade theme", they say to me play that techno track from blade 2 :p (voodoo & serano - blood is pumping)
anyways, why can't they learn that almost every track they say is techno is trance!?! :whip:
