If you could bring in your server that would be great (as long as it doesn't cause you too much trouble).
Sure, 2 weeks would make things a lot slower, but i personally think it would be better.
Hmm, the problem is that normally i decide very spontaneously what kind of set i do. usually it's trance, but sometimes i just want to do a house set or so. so perhaps we should always have the judges for a challenge placed so, that as much as possible music styles are in.
and what about the hall effect? ;) |

also, i appreciate the speed that this was set up, and casesladder is reputable, but to be honest, i don't like the site. It's poorly designed, has annoying ads, and is difficult to use. just my $0.02, maybe it will get better as we use it, everything has a learning curve i suppose. |
John, I think that since everything was reset, that I'll have to rechallenge etc. Do you want to wait for one of us to rechallenge, or what? I'll wait until you are finished with Kaos if you want.
If not, then why don't we do a 1 judge contest for our first one. Maybe Mr. Sick will judge for us? I think that he said he would be one of the judges! What do you think Mr. Sick? |

that sounds fine to me, if mr. sick will agree as well. not sure if you need to rechallenge me or not, go for it, it can't hurt.
I'd prefer to stream my set, because i can do it right now (or as soon as my girlfriend wakes up anyway which shouldn't be more than a few hours)
if i have to record it, then i'd have to record onto my MD, take it to work, record it analog into Sound Forge, then convert to wav, burn it to a CD, and bring it back home. (don't have SF or a decent line in at home, although it works ok for streaming)
so streaming is good for me, is it good for you Flesch? We could both set up streams to mr. sick, and let him judge.
who goes first? you can choose, i don't care where i go.
since this is trance addict, i think i will start with a trance set, and we will see how it goes after that. |

I'll go first then. I'll have to upload my set because I don't have enough upload bandwidth on my connection. All I spin is trance, so good choice of genres! I will need some place to upload it too.
Has a formal common FTP place been established? If so, can this information be posted? I should have some server space by winter, but I don't have any atm.
Also, let's say that we set the practice limit at 1 practice run max? This way the challenges will evaluate how well we can spin now versus how well we can learn what we practice.
I'll probably record my set tomorrow and I plan on using about 5-7 tracks and keeping it around 30-40 mins. I'm sure we'll get things worked out as people post more info on the specifics of FTP and if Mr. Sick will judge--or if anyone else wants to volunteer? |

yeah, now is fine with me.. but without mr. sick, or any other judge volunteering, i guess i can't stream it out with nobody to listen too. If nobody volunteers, i will make sure to have a 30 minute or more set recorded by thursday.
as for practice runs, i say 0 practice runs! what you play is what you play and you should be judged on it. that said, there is no way to know if a recorded set is the first time or not, so i guess unless we are streaming then practice runs are going to be used anyway. |

Just upload to here if you want a judge to just download them.
Or if a judge catches me- I can stream them for him.

I think competitors could be allowed to judge if both agreed as well. Judges might be hard to find in the beginning like this i think.
I have my mix ready- Luke and I need a judge.
Just post a message NEED JUDGE for BLAH BLAH and someone will come forward. |
