That's okay with me too. We can use the file naming system as was presented above for now. Since the rankings don't matter until several people are ranked, then the file naming systems doesn't either as long as it is clear. I wouldn't mind being a judge also, but to remain as unbias as possible, then as a contestant and a judge, I wouldn't want to know who is who. I think that this should be a standing rule once the rankings get into place.
Anyway, I plan on recording my set later tonight and uploading. We'll have to arrange a time for the stream for you John. I should be good anytime after 5:30PM central time until thursday, when the challenge expires. I am good after that too, but I'm almost intrigued as to what happens to the challenge when it goes past the deadline. |
Agreed- Once rankings are in place a bit- just upload or stream two mixes and dont say which one is which and either say mix 1 or 2 won.
You dont answer a challenge before the deadline- it counts as a loss to whoever didnt respond to the challenge. So keep on your toes. ;) |

I am finished with my set and will shortly be uploading it to the above FTP site. Also, Khaos, if you need a judge for you and T, then I will judge for your challenge. I would prefer it be anonymous to me. |
Sounds good to me-
I think best thing to do is I will create folders in the
Challenge area named DJFLESCH inside will be 1.mp3 and 2.mp3
Ill tell Luke (or whoever is uploading their mix- do the same)
in PM which mix is his and mine in your folder and you can just Announce Mix 1 or 2 won.
See this isnt too hard. LOL |

I think we basically decided as well mixes will be 30-60 mins. :P

Kaos,
That sounds good to me. I'm assuming that you're talking about your and Project T's sets that I'll judge right? I already uploaded mine to the base directory, which in retrospect, maybe we should make folders with the judges names on it and in there give the two sets unique file names with a text file stating which two are to be judged against eachother. This way if there is 1, 2, 3, 4, and txt files titled 1 vs 3 and 2 vs 4, I will know which ones are competing against eachother. This will avoid confusion if people don't UL in the order they are supposed to be compared in.
The mix that I made was 6 tracks and was just over 42 minutes, so I think that it is good to stick to that range for the reasons that I've already stated above. Also, sorry that I saved it as 320kbps, I didn't notice that until after I had already uploaded it. If you want me to reduce it to 160 I can do that and reupload it!
JohnSmith and Kaos,
We need to coordinate a time that we can all listen to your stream, or I suppose at least you and Kaos, but I would also like to listen to it so that I know what I am competing against. If one of you can record the stream that is okay too. I think that I said above that I can do it any time after 5PM central time. Remember, the challenge ends Thursday! |

You shouldnt accept any more than one judging assignment until you finish the one you're on.

Ill load it up in Forge and Resave it 160.

Okay, that clarifies things. Are we going to have a post bumped up to the begining stating all of these aculmulating rules? That would be very handy to keep reviewing them when I have questions. Thank you for switching the sampling rate for me!
Also, another question that I have is how are the judges expected to judge the sets? Is it on a preset scoring scale like the mix comp or is each judge allowed to judge a set on his or her own criteria? |

Im remoted in right now converting it- should be all done- 160k
The two picked the judge(s) on 1 persons whim or a groups whim
no scoring criteria.
Im sure tips on why you liked one more than the other would be appreciated- constructive criticism is always nice- not YOUR SET SUCKED
Why did you upload again? Did resume not work? |

| I will just upload my set in the same way Flesch did, to make things consistent. Maybe we will get to the streaming thing later. I have some ideas for this, i will post a new thread about. |
