ive taken myself off the atheletes list and put myself on the judges list.. i will maybe join as an athelete later on if/when i ever get broadband myself lol |

I found i ladder ranking online system for tennis clubs. LOL
same thing pretty much
heres the link- rules for advancement etc would be the same. I wonder if the code or something is available to put into someone's own site.

Rank gain for a win: 50 (percent, 50% default)
Max matches/day beteen SAME users: 1 (matches)
Number of days before winning and losing streaks reset: 30 (days)
Minutes players must wait between each match report: 5 (minutes)
Days of inactivity allowed before players deleted: 60 (days) [minimum 3]
Days of inactivity allowed before drop top ten players: 30 (days)
A "top player" is defined as a player less than: 4 (rank)
Days top players must wait before playing same user again: 7 (days)
Highest rank that is allowed to utilize formal challenge system: 20(rank)
Days between formal challenge by same users: 7 (days)
Days players have to complete formal challenge: 7 (days)

| looks a good system, gonna sticky this now, done some rather extensive testing, and i can stream @ 24k mono as long as it is relayed which i will prolly get ian to do for me, just as long as u can bare it ;) |

I don't believe that I have seen anything definite about if we would be required to stream, upload or have our choice? Can anyone tell me if that is decided yet?
Also, for those of use who have the proper equipment (ie either two sound cards or a burner and a cd deck) then we can even do tag-team matches, where one person sends a mix of two tracks to another person, then that person burns the cd or plays the MP3 and then mixes in two more tracks. It would go back and forth twice. Then we could have a competition between two pairs of djs. What do you guys think? |

Heh- lets not get ahead of ourselves here.
Basically- this should be it-
Any medium is fine-
You can pre-record your set if you like. 30-60 mins.
You cannot use the same recording twice.
Both contestants agree on judging (anyone can judge really as long as the two people agree on who. Either 1,3,5 or in a chat room with voting at the end)
Person with higher ranking chooses if he wants to go first or second.
I think the ladder system will take care of rankings-
If you dont challenge or play- you just drop-
The more you play or challenge- obviously the higher your ranking is going to be.
Question really is where to start the rankings- I think everyone would start at 0 pts- (I believe thats the system the site uses)
The site is an overall site- so challenges would basically be considered "tournaments" and when there was a challenge- I or the judges would just enter in the challenge and once its over enter in the winner.
Everything else should take care of itself after that rankings wise.
I need to enter everyones name in on there and check things out a little more. Im thinking we should be going soon- so be ready! |

Basically just a site that host's tournaments and reporting and rankings.
Its a little screwy because I dont think its setup for head to head- mostly for like single elim tournies- but- shouldnt be too hard to figure out.
I have confidence in myself.
We can use #taladder for chat and judging rooms.
