I dont know about you but i listen to music for feeling and emotion not for technical superiority. some very simple music can be very moving. for example: nirvana wasnt too sophicticated but it was damn good music. and just because rap`s filled with blacks from poor areas doesnt mean they arnt talented... theres sooooo much musical talent in hip hop. im sure alot of them have more knowledge about music and producing then any of us could dream of having. you dont have to know why something sounds right or wrong, you just need to know its right or wrong!
anys it all comes down to how you want to be moved some people wana be moved in a chilled way some people wanna gonna nuts... others want both at different times... |
I actually sang & played guitar in a rock/metal band ( compared by some to Alice In Chains style) for five years , so I know a thing or two about simple music . Sometimes when we were bored , we were jamming without any point creating stuff that we would never play again ... Right now I'm working with a friend of mine on a project that hopefully will combine guitar music with trance , but only time will tell if it will ever work out ( Joe Satriani succeeded with his "Engines Of Creation" in combining electronic with amazing guitar ) .
I was only talking about rap music . |

I'm not into "Hip-Hop" music that much, but a song that I just heard recently and can't stop listening to is Dead Prez - Hip Hop.
Anyone know how old this song is? I remember hearing it a long time ago, but I forget just how long ago it was. |

Is vividboy, not allowed to like another genre?
Hell, I love Smashing Pumpkins. Big deal?
He's allowed to like more than one genre people.
It just was stupid to post the question on a trance website, rather than an all around music website. |

Err...No.
If you are referring to Fat of The Land - yes that was released in 1997.
But thats not their debut album!
Prodigy - Experience was released in 92, and Music For The Jilted Generation in '94.
