| The dreams thread got me thinking abotu hauntings. Have any of you guys had any weird encounters or ran into anything that scared the out of you? Im interested to hear what u guys haveto say. |

there was a time when my mom was in the bathroom when she hears the front door open and a rattling of keys, which she assumed it was my dad but when she finished and got out no one was there...so that was kinda weird
another time was when i was sitting in the kitchen when all of a sudden i hear a loud knock on the door which leads to the garage...i open it and no one was there
another time was when i was in a Hilton hotel and i coudln't fall asleep i had some insomnia or something and it was about 2:00 A.M. which everyone was asleep when i hear this knock on the door...now it couldn't have been someone i know cuz they'd be all asleep by then and who would knock at 2:00 A.M. so that was kinda freaky |

when i was a child, my bed was next to this wall. on the other side of this wall was my parent's closet. because of what ive seen, i believe all that about closets being links to the after life and so one. what was so disturbing was that occasionally id wake up in the night and just see a hand sticking out of that wall reaching towards me.
also, i was at my friend's house the other day and we were using his computer when out of nowhere his tv turns on and the channels started changing- i couldnt sleep that night cuz of it. |

one day, when i was about 11 or 12, my family and i were having dinner at in the kitchen and i thought it would be funny if i knocked on the wall or somthing without my parents knowing. So i did, and they thought someone was at the door, so my mom got up and went to the door and i thought i was such a little prankster. When my mom opened the door there was acctually someone at the door! that freaked me out!

I use to hear a lot of freaky true ghost stories from my relatives back in my country but I have a really hard time believing any of it.
First I'd like to say that I don't believe in ghosts or supernaturals or any of that sort, I'm a very big skeptic. However there have been some strange occurences in my life that I swear to you that I can't explain and have left me wondering even to today.
A few years ago my grandmother was having her birthday at this fancy chinese restaurant here in downtown Toronto. I was with a cousin who was visiting from another city and decided not to go to the reception but I was downtown so me and my little cousin decided to drop in the restaurant just to say hi.
We got into the restaurant and went up the stairs, gorgeous place. It lead us right to the seating area past a hallway with lots of people there. Dropped in and greeted my parents and gave my grandma a hug and kiss and wished her happy birthday. I absolutely adore my grandma, she's the sweetest thing.
She asked us to stay, but I had some friends who were waiting for us outside so I decided to go chill with them. Said goodbye to my grandma and started walking out.
Okay, here's the part that got sooo weird and even to today it scared the out of me. I remembered I walked out first and my cousin was walking a few feet behind me. As I walked into the hallway that led to the stairs that I came up from, I noticed that there was not a single person in the whole hallway. Weird, because it was such a busy restaurant and huge too.
Okay, this is really hard to explain. And I know that there is absolutely no way I can descibe so you'll understand exactly what I was feeling to give it justice. Unless this has happened to someone before, maybe they'll understand.
I swear to you, as I was walking down the hall, I actually 'felt' someone walk RIGHT THROUGH ME!! :eek: :eek: :eek: This was the most ed up thing I've ever experienced in my life. I'm not talking about a breeze or anything. All of a sudden I felt a deep chill, I COULD actually feel someone's body....their hands, their torso and the walking motion of their legs walk RIGHT THROUGH ME!!!! WTF!!!!!!?????? I felt their hair brush across my face.....passing through me!!! :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek:
As fast as the chills came, it was over. All the hair on my body and on the back of my neck stood on ends. It was the most ed up thing ever. I looked around and there was not a single person in the whole friggin' hallway. I was scared less!!
I don't know if anyone has ever had felt someone walking right through them, maybe they'll know what I mean. I'm not talking about a person walking by you, but someone that was not there....walking right through your body :eek: and I know it was a person because I could feel their pulse.
I looked around and thought I was in the twilight zone, it was the most macabre thing ever. I started panicking, and my heart was beating a thousand beats per minute. The hallways all of a sudden looked soo eerie. I was like ' this , and ran as fast as I could down the stairway, running for my life.
As I got down the stairs, my friends were outside waiting for me. And guess who was standing there....MY COUSIN!!!!!!. He's like, 'what took you so long, man?'

I'm like, 'what the hell are you talking about????' I walked out FIRST!! and also I was only up there for no more than 1 minute at the most in the hallway.........:eek: :eek: My friends were saying that my cousin came out first and they had waited for a while which is absolutely impossible because I never saw him walk past me and there was absolutely no way I could be there that long.
This was all so weird and all so messed up. I know this is really hard for someone to believe. I tried to come up with a rational explaination to explain it all, but unless you know what it's like to actually have someone walk right through your body, a person or a presence, then you'll know what I'm talking about.
Weird thing was, the restarant closed about a year or two later. From what I heard from some friends, they were saying a lot of the waiters and waitresses quit because there were a lot of strange occurences happening in the restarant. Lots of people thought it was haunted. hmmm......
It's not like me to believe in this , but....
Oh, on a side note, this was a few years before I ever touched any forms of drugs. So I can't blame it on that. If someone can come up with a rational explanation for me please throw it out. I'm still having a real hard time believing it actually happened.

wow trancewave, thats a pretty damn amazing story, i believe you, and i can offer some 'explanations' but then u're a sceptic so i'm not gonna say anything :D
nothing strange has happened to me but i've heard tons and tons of stories and even met many ppl. who have seen ghosts and such, the only weird experience i personally had was during my mom's birthday some yrs. back
my mom'm mom (my grandmom) was close to her and we were all waiting up till 12:00 am so we could wish my mom happy birthday, and we were even talking about my grandmom and stuff...the room we were in had a big chandelier...and exactly at 12:00 am the whole thing came crashing down, just as my mom was talking about her mom!!!
so yeah, that was kinda weird |

Actually if you have some ideas on what actually might've happened please share. I always believe that there's a rational explanation for everything but I'm really spooked.
I felt extreme chills on certain parts of my body as it happened. It was just so unnatural that it was just downright insane. |

I remeber a time a couple of years back..
I was at a friend surfing the net on dial up.. and suddenly out of nowhere a little girls came on the speakers saying sum ...
and just as it started it ended...
freeked me out.. lol... anyways i thought it was a CB Radio hacking in or something.. or a walkie talkie.. but who knows.. really weird...
Ghosts... well i think when i was like 6 yo i witnessed an angel fly past i think.. it looked like u know how predator can turn transparent.. i saw this thing that looked like an angel and then dissapear into the cealing... :eek: |

those are pretty cool stories you guys have told. im still trying to remember if anything weird has happened to me or not hmmm |

i was about 10 staying at my grandparent place in Surrey, a really nice converted barn, set back in this little valley.
Me n my 2 older brothers were sharing a room and had all gone to bed. I had heard my parents go to bed earlier as the floor boards of the old barn creak as they went up to their room. For sum reason i couldnt sleep, i had bin reading by tourch n had checked the clock; it was about 2.30am so descided to try to get sum sleep.
As i was lying there in the dark i saw a light through the cracks in the wooden door. This was odd for two reasons. 1) i had heard my parent go to bed (we had stayed here many time n knew every creak of every floor board) 2) there were no creaking footsteps with the light i could see.
Scared the life outta me so i, as a kids hid myself under the duvet as fast as possible, i had been lying on my back so i jst dragged the duvet up to cover my face. i could still see a glow from the direction of the door around the edge of my duvet. It got brighter and the room colder. This lite slowly passed rite over my head and out the other door onto the landing towards my parents room. i was so scared i didnt move the duvet off my head and fell asleep where i was till my brothers woke me.
The stranger thing was the next morning.
we'd all come down to breakfast and my mother pipped up;
'the oddest thing happened last nite. i woke up at about 2.30 and there was this woman, no legs, no eyes jst hovering at the end of the bed rite over my feet. She turned and jst drifted out of the window'
All i can conclude was that the glow i saw was the woman, and that she had gone into my parents room after mine. And the fact that my mother saw her only secures the fact that i wasnt dreaming or being over imginative.
i have a tendancy to know what people are going to say next, and to know whos on the phones b4 it rings. Maybe i know my friends too well.
Deja vue is a part of my everyday life, its not such a physical reaction as it used to be when i was younger where what i saw would literally fastfoward rewind n then replay in real time, now its more like 'oh yes i remember this, i saw that earlier to day, or last week' |

I think this topic is very interesting. I dunno if you can believe this stuff, I mean: There are sooooo many stories, experiences and reports... something HAS to be true..
I had a very scary (for me) situation. I was sitting in our livingroom watching tv, when suddently a lightning flashed outside. then a very massive thunder came. my father, who was on 2nd floor (i was on 3rd) shouted at me to turn off everything. so I did. then I went downstairs to my father. he said he was going into the basement to turn electricity off. right after he went downstairs another massive thunder came. I was very scared and went into my bedroom. I wanted to turn on some music, but I remembered that my father turned off evrything. anyway, right at that moment I pressed the "on" button for my cd-player, my ing TV turned on. OH MAN I WAS SO SCARED I SCREAMED AND *SAT* DOWN ON THE FLOOR. I didn't want to move. then my father came in my room. he was irritated. he just turned off the tv and asked me if everything was ok. whoa, that was hard... fortunately it wasn't that dark outside... :( |
