Luckly I saw them letting ppl through ... and BAM I ran like a mother******! LOL Thanks ALex for getting us stuck in there! |

| Howells played Picotto's new tune, "Pandora" (believe it or not), and a track by DK2 or something - ID? |

So here's what I think after some sleep, food, and Tylenol (for earache, not hangover!)
I got in there with Graham at about 10:45 - the lineup was surprisingly long outside considering how few people actually seemed to be in the place. I tried, oh how I tried to get into Addy's set, but it just sounded like the same drum loop being played over and over again for 2 hours with some highpass tweaking on the vocal(s). Don't kill me for saying that, proggies, that's just my opinion, and you guys took your shots at Guy so you asked for it! :p Fortunately, RJ and Jason were also there to lighten things up, and we met Jeff, Tyson, and John later on (didn't see you guys for the rest of the night after that!). Anyway, I really *did* want to hear Creamer and K, but Addy was still spinning at 12:30, so we left for the Guvernment with the intention of going to the Acid Lounge to meet the other TAs (which didn't happen for me as I spent about a half hour talking to Walter - nice meeting ya bud!).
I loved the setup in the KH though, it looked pretty hype. Interesting new location for the DJ booth. The Guvernment was actually not as crowded as I expected (still crowded though, and way more so than the KH), because a ton of people were in the Orange Room listening to their hip hop. The patio was nice, they should keep that open more often, really nice area to chill out when dog tired.
So eventually I asked when Ornadel was coming on, to which Nat said "This IS Ornadel!" After about 10 minutes of hearing him spin house and thinking WTF?!?! I started hearing the trance t00nage and it was all uphill from there. :D It was actually pretty cool how Ornadel did such a smooth transition from house to trance, he didn't lose any momentum (or crowd!) whatsoever. Anyway, as I already said, his set killed me, it was a perfect mix of uplifting, hard, and tech trance tracks without a single hiccup, sweetness! I recognized a lot of tracks but I can't really list/remember them right now. It was a very nice blend of popular and unknown tracks, though. 10/10 for sure!
Seems like most of us did manage to find each other in the Guvernment despite the failed meetup, which was nice. After Ornadel's set I went to check out Howells, and it sounded like he was spinning a pretty good set, but I was just too tired from being destroyed by Ornadel, so I checked out for the night.
Greetz to Graham, RJ, Jason, Jeff, Tyson, John, Margs, Az, Chris, Nat, NRG2Infinit, Navid, Monish, and the 'addicts I met for the first time: UkranianStud, Walter, the TA who was standing next to Walter (sorry, forgot your name!), TranceXtasy, Cyrus King (not how I pictured you at all! Nice to see ya though, finally!), Ben, Carlos, and the big TA wearing the white jersey with a number on it (I couldn't hear the first part of your name, but the last syllable was trance!). Also met Nat's roommate briefly... didn't get to talk but she seemed cool. Once again, sorry if I forgot anyone, you're all awesome.
That's that! Truly great night, I'm SO glad I went and got my trance fix! Come back soon, Guy!
Oh, and special thanks to the makers of REV, which despite tasting about as good as grape kool-aid and macaroni salad, does the job so much better than VBase... |

On about 3 hours of sleep and a 9 hour shift, I arrived at Guv. We went in and started listening to Addy who bored me out of my skull. Met up with some TAs , and decided to get into the Guv at around 12.30 , because Creamer & Stephan K where late :angry .
Went into the Guv to hear the end of Mark O's set. Ornadel came on and started spinning some house, which was scaring me a bit. He then started to drop the trance which lasted all night, and what a night it was. Sick a little too much uplifting for me at the begining but then later on he pumelled us with hard and tech trance. At about 3am my body started to finally give out and I had to lean on a table for about an hour.
After Ornadel, we made our way into KH, and it really did sound very good, and I'm really bothered that I couldn't stay, but it was getting to a point where I couldn't stand. I really wish I would have saw Howells.
Shout outs to all the TAs last night, and Nat: sorry about your nose!! :( :nervous: |
