i diasagree w/ this. i can love trance and chose danny over guy. my taste has changed to encompass different things..or maybe sometimes a person just want a change. for example, maybe i've seen a particular trance DJ many times but there is a prog DJ that I've never seen and want to check out. i can't love trance unless i only love trance and will chose it over anything else? why can't i be busting out to danny at ultra2 one weekend and cor at wemf teh next (that is what i did!)? i think that liking all kinds of music makes you appreciate each one all the more :)

i mean why would that bother you? it doesn't bother me that you didn't come to check out howells despite his incredible skill, or that you didn't come to see digweed who was instrumental in making trance what it is today. i think it's best to say 'to each their own'
the diversity of taste on here makes this place great. It shows how genres overlap and influence one another. i mean, look at how trance/breaks and trance/techno have worked so beautfully together. if everyone just stuck to their own genres we wouldn't have sounds liek marco v or hybrid:)

i'm not a big fan of trance like I used to be, I'll almost always choose a prog dj over a trance dj simply because thats the type of music that gets me going physically and mentally, but that doesn't mean i hate trance. At the VIVA 1-year, both Orkidea and J00F played trance, and that was one of the best parties I've been to, right up there with Sander K's last appearance (which reminds, when the hell is he comin back to TO??) and Lawler. |

he just being as a prime example between Ornadel and him.
And there's very few DJ's as good as Howells, or better, but that's purely based on taste. |

TOTA isn't about just the music anymore. If you want to talk about hardcore trance then you can alway venture into the Music Discussion (those guys know a lot about trance) or the Tracklisting section. TOTA is more of a community about the scene not just about Trance.
As an aside. I have noticed a lot of people using the term RAPE as a good thing that a DJ does in a club. Please stop this. I cringe everytime I see it. Rape is bad not good! :nervous: I dunno who started it but we can stop this right? |
