I like trance.
I like jungle.
I like techno.
I came to meet people who also like trance.
I found out that some of them like techno and jungle too.
Are you saying we can't share other common interests on the forum? If that's the case, then perhaps people shouldn't be talking about house parties, soccer, sunglasses or blackouts either? |

The purpose of the site is that everyone on here has a common interest: trance.
Perhaps you'd find a better home in the Music Discussion forum. |

althought this site is tranceaddict.com even the music discussion is not meant just for trance...
electronic music in general is an amazing genre...i suggest you all listen to all the sub genres of it and you'll probably develop an overall appreciation for electronic dance music like some of us have. |

The point is that attention is being diverted away from trance when other genres are promoted on this TRANCE website. Instead of reinforcing it, it is diluted with all the attention that others give to prog , house or jungle.
Remember, this is my opinion and it has always bothered me. Its annoying when i see "john Digweed" review on a trance website..but hey, its just me..who gives a right? |

| i agree with Cyrus that this board does go off topic and on crazy tangents sometimes .. but i dunno if there's a use in trying to enforce the idea of keeping it exclusively within trance .. who has the time to do all that ? |

I just think you've ignored my argument.
If what you're saying were true, then why would there be forums like the chillout room, humour forum, and political discussion? You post plenty in the latter, do you not?
So then the Toronto forum is a forum dedicated to Toronto and Toronto events. Nowhere does it say that it has to be about trance-specific Toronto discussion, any more than the political forum should be restricted to trance-specific political debate like the Rave act or RIAA legislations.
But hey, that's just the way I see it... who really cares, right? |
