dude i dont know how you couldnt have had a good time

without saying anything about the set, lets talk about the atmosphere of the show. can you think of anywhere else you'd rather see paul van dyk.. central park for chrissake. the lasers, were incredible, the crowd was better than anything that ive seen for the past 3 years (since early twilo days, in other words)

now lets talk about the set. you can hardly call yourself a trance afficianado if you didnt KNOW when you bought your ticket that it was going to be an anthem night.. all anthems.. and he brought his a-game, he played an excellent selection of songs that rock the house, that everyone, including new fans, could appreciate. read the description of the show? paul says himself that hes trying to reach new people with his music, and i think he did a great job, period. his mixing was impeccable, maybe except for that skipped record that i missed, so i cant say anything about that. he had a great theme to the show, it was kinda like one of those wooden dolls with the dolls in the inside.. he started with some anthems, went deeper into the trance for the real pvd fans, and then closed up with the anthems again, so that the people who dont have as much familiarity with those songs could enjoy them as much as we could.

YaleTrance
Tiesto-Traffic was by far my highlight of the whole night. It was amazing to hear PvD play a Tiesto track, especially such an amazingly powerful track that overshadows all the other tracks in the set. I died :)

i dropped it at arc last saturday, was anyone listening????? :clown:

No dude, I left when you didn't let Nu-NRG encore and started your set.

BTW, Butterfly or Take Your Air as a lead track would have been a great way to keep the flow going.

When Paul dropped Nothing But You earlier in his set, for some reason it sounded like a Vengaboys remix. It was that bad! :toothless
