The music was not up to par I thought but I had a FANTASTIC time. The vibe their was infection especially when the lasers came on. There were times when people hands were in the air going nuts from front to back.

He played these tracks twice:

Time of our Lives,
ATRC,
Crush,
and I believe one other..

I think that the whole concept of the outdoor event, the lasers off of the trees was amazing. It almost had a Forest-Rave vibe. If I were to base it solely on the music, I would say it wasn't that great. But when I factor in the entire night as a whole, it was fantastic. I hope Made Events does some more of these next summer...

For those TA's I met at Summerstage and at Vic's Loft, ya'll are some cool kids. Lets do it again sometime.

P.S. Whoever was chanting GLow.... SHUT THE UP! Don't bring that up in NYC... :haha: :whip: :p :D

just one thing OMFG once the Nothing But You was played no one was touching PvD. Of all his sets i havent heard a set as good as this one since '99. And for all you critics out there shhhhhhhh PvD tore it up in NYC people who have seen him at Twylo are even saying it. This is one of his best sets the crowd went wild. Once the lasers came on PvD was game!

you kidding me? there was a massive crowd dancing the whole time. And pvd always comes to nyc.

I thought it was great! Since most of us have seen pvd in a club, it was nice to hear him in another atmosphere other than a club. Nice to see the fellow TAs. :toothless All in all a great night

got home about an hour ago.... one word: OMFG!!! hahahah lmao jk but seriously it was great:eyes:

Pro's : Paul Van Dyk played For an Angel, Dreamland, ATRC, Crush, Sunrise(W00T he used the Pulser remix!!), Time Of Our Lives, For a Revolt, Empire, Aftershokk, ahh soo many good tunes!!!

Lasers = :eek: :eyes: :eyespop:

i havent seen a good light show in ages......

the crowd was just awesome. most people at the beginning were alittle rowdy when that announcer didnt stop talking and some even boo'd when the record skipped. talk about mood killer... but he recovered nicely witha few tunes. he started off slow with a few prog tunes before dropping ATRC <3:)
from there his set was sporatic, jumping from different styles with no real definative flow in sound... but at the end he was just awesome and from what i heard it completely came together. and yes the smell of weed was apparent....
overall when the sun went down, the crowd jumped and went bananas...:D

Con's: The stupid floor we were all dancing on had a green mesh thing over it.... totally not cool as it was very hard to dance well on that. but not like their was space to move around either.

Sound system wasnt great, but hey its central park, what do you expect? lol

too many people not dancing... the guido's seemed more active than them..

i didnt stay long enough so i ended up missing his last tunes....:whip: (stupid chinatown bus line:whip: )

Grade: B overall but an A+ simply because ive never seen PvD live for that long unless it was a recording. One of the most memorable nights ive ever had:eyes: :D :) :gsmile: :eyespop:

jus got back from vics afteparty and all that

overall pvd's set was mediocre at best, almost dissapointing imho, repeating tracks more than once gets a bit annoying, you would think some1 like pvd gets loads and loads of records sent to him a day to play out instead of repeating tracks twice and soemtimes even 3-4times. but whatever. the other track he repeated twice that no1 mentioned is jaron inc - overflow. why did he repeat motorcycle twicwe, that tracks overplayed as it is, yet he drops it not once but twice goddman. and one thing he hasta retire now is nothing but you, i used to love that track but since he plays it 2 times + everytimes hes in nyc i just cant stand it anymore but whatever. good seeing all the regulars and the newbies, you guys know who you are ;)

sival
i wasnt going to go either but bought my tix last minute and im glad i did! the event got better as the night went on. i guess some people aren't used to dancing outdoors in the sun. playing 'time of our lives' really did it for me, especially it being the 2nd to last song he played. cant wait for november!

when i was entering the gate, security was giving people with flyers in their bags a hard time. "i dont wanna see these all over the ground later" "oh no problem" later, the park is littered with party flyers haha.

ronin: i think the first mix was the vandit club mix. i could be wrong.
lil lizzy
PVD will be back in november, it was announced at the end of the night :)
