okay alfi...i added ur name to the sig now
...my font collection is pretty weenie, so if u have another font tell us where i can get it & i can change it, otherwise hope u like it :):):)

k well it must have been my comp before...but anyway, i just dl adobe and xara and damn this is confusing...how do i insert an img (like a pic...jpeg file) into the art i'm doing...like the little window where u insert texts and mess around with the colors and all that...basically how do u make those sigs where u put an image of a girl (like the VS models u used) or whoever into the sig ur designing..u know what i mean right? anyone care to help me out?

Open new image... select the one ya want opened.. press enter..
pic will show up...
Now most of the times ya want only the girl.. not the surroundings..
You have to start cutting out the girl.. you can use the lasso tool or the magnetic lasso tool (get that 2nd one by rightclicking on the lasso tool --> a window will pop up)
Drag these lines around the selection.. now "edit copy" and "paste" into the other opened window (where you were doin that text thing)
A new layer should be created.. (in which the cut-out pic is) Now use the eraser to get rid of a few pixels.. or pieces you forgot to cut..
With the "eyedropper" you can select the skin(color) or clothing(color) you want to add.. for instance when you want her to have bigger breasts (lol) or you just erased/cut out a piece which is a bit 2 big.. you can drop the eyedropper on the nearest piece.. the new color will be selected now you can "paint" back the missing pieces or the xtra breastvolume :D
Just select the pic now.. you can change size etc.. by "edit-->transform"

If i were you slylee, i'd go through their lessons/tutorials... i just checked and the version i have installed and it doesn't come with the lessons, so yours may not also. I've got an LE version of photoshop 5 lying around somewhere, which is what first got me into graphics and i think that's where the tutorials came from, if you want i could upload them (there on the wrong side of 20mb i think)
Some of the tutorials seem a bit pointless if you're not into photo-retouching, but they get you acutomed to all the tools and stuff that you'll end up using. After that it's just doing it, doing it more, experimenting etc.
I'm having problems finding just the right images for 'Gladiator' i have a feeling that one'll take some time. |
