What software did you want? If you want Photoshop 6.0 (the best for graphics) you should be able to get it here:

I used morpheus to d/l it. its like napster but u can get progs too. its pretty cool and the d/l speeds arent too bad. |

Monkey, you can use Fireworks to create some funky objects to replace the lensflare. the flare is out of place with the aluminum brushed metal background.

If you guys want trippy 3d spacey backgrounds, learn how to use Bryce 3d. There is not much tutorials on the net so the learning curve could be a pain. The Bryce guide is useless so I suggest you buy the book from amazon if you REALLY want to learn it.
Bryce 3d is the easiet of all 3d rendering software to learn from the likes of 3ds Max, Lightwave, Maya, Poser, etc al.
Here's an example of Bryce 3d image (I didn't make it, I just combined two images together)
