Guys, I am designing a new sig/logo for myself, and I've gotten to a certain point but I just can't get past a certain stage, so I want to ask for your help.

OK, here's the deal: I decided to call myself DJ EU-Gene (with the "EU" meaning "Euro").

I would like a professional drawing of a turntable (complete with a pitch control, tonearm, etc.) where the table's platter would be the map of Europe.

Here's what I came up with so far, in GIMP:

>> HERE << (click) is the original (and large) European map. You can download both of these files if you want (the Euro-ball is JPG, Euro-map is GIF).

Can you make this "Euro-ball" a platter of a professionally-drawn turntable (with the other parts like pitch control), maybe with the letters "EU" and "Gene" strategically placed around in a techno font?

Better yet -- and this is a true challenge for you -- can you project this Euro-platter in a 3-D picture of a turntable, with lightning effects, as in the following:

Not necessarily this angle ('cause you wouldn't be able to see the map), but something like this. With the same purple/blue scheme.
:eyes:
This would probably be very difficult, though not impossible.

Just a request, if someone with artistic talent wouldn't mind :)
Thanks to all of you in advance!

well.. i think you should go for the one with the turntable or the one with eyes in the left (the first one) :) (the others are to "noizy")
TimeportE
Eugene, i'm thinking what i'm going to do and i just saw that my brother has got the corel 8 cds (including corels 3de studio)..
so i'll have to look for a turntable from a downlooking point of view.. i have to look for the pic.. going to look now, if anyone has that kind of pic, please post it here.. it'll save me quite come time :)

Eugene
TimeportE, thanks!

http://images.google.com/images?q=t...=en&sa=N&tab=wi

This is page 1 of the image-search on "turntable" in Google. There are thousands of pictures, you can navigate at the bottom! (Admittedly, some of them are irrelevant, but maybe we'll just find what we need.)
TimeportE
well i got a pic.. and if you don't like the angle i got some overhead pics from basvh's TT (also TA) .. tell me what i should add or change.. :)

and this one
