Ok I'm glad to see that something i stated turned into a little bicker session. Yes I do not post very often but when I do its for a reason. yes flame wars start on boards all teh time only if you let them and want them too. I personally have yet to be on the receiving end of any flame wars out here, no reason too. I am glad to see that a couple people actually read what i said and agreed.
Now the reason I actually made this comment was a very good friend, has been avoiding posting in the room because of all this silly taht has beem going on.
I do not undersatnd why certain people feel the need to continually insult others, and when they desevre. And thsi goes out to partyprincess BIG DEAL if someone doctors a pic of you, it happens everyday in life people are gonna do you don't like, but maybe you should think about it this way.
WHAT DID I DO THAT HAS CAUSED SOMEONE TO BE THAT PISSED WITH ME THAT THEY WOULD DO THAT ?? Then and only then you might come to the realization that you indeed need to lookk at who you are and change the way you act.
Once again this is my opinion only thank you and have a nice day.
If you feel the need to flame me please do, for I have nothing but good intentions. |

That said from a girl... I am impressed. Guys can't say these things because it apparently makes us chauvinists or even criminals.
Thanks for the fresh air...
As for the rest of you, the bickering and arguing that occurs on TOTA is merely a reflection of the bickering and arguing that people deal with in the real world. The only reason that we don't witness this in person with the TOTAs is that the same people who constantly cause online are too spineless to do it to our faces. The only way to contain it is excessive moderation, which I think is a high price to pay. People don't always get along, that's life, accept it... |

And this brings me to what I think is the bottom line. Go to a TA party... notice the vibe, feel the energy. We are a strong, large accepting group of people. that happenes on the board seems to stay on the board. And those who choose to make enemies are only hurting themselves by closing their "real" selves off from meeting some really great people.
I personally feel that the strength that this board has was built on acceptance, tolerance and an overall friendlyness.... Those who do not display those attitudes both on the board and in real life thus become insignificant. |

You are so spot on Az. So right. Message boards are not real human interaction. Great place to exchange info and find out about/discuss parties and music...but meet people in real life and share real human interaction and everyone is really cool.
Every body stop taking themselves so seriously!!
P.s. I think that this issue plagued the boards for quite a while. One reason I never came out to meet people at parties was based on my judgement that TAs were a bunch of s based on the message board. I was wrong! |

I disagree.
The internet is just another means of communication. If someone was an on the phone, would you think "Oh, it's just because we were talking on the phone" ? No.
If someone is an on the board, they are an in real life, unless they just enjoying talking from behind a computer. If that's the case, then they need to grow up....and they aren't someone I'd want to spend a lot of time with, for that reason. |
