OK I dont post that much and i dont really ahng out with most of you to often but the times that I have i really enjoyed. But what the hell has been going on lately it seems that certain people have taken it upon themselves to throw insults out at anyone who posts. This used to be one of the better places on the net to have discusses about just about anything especially our scene here in Toronto.
Now it seems as though its some high school bitch fest non stop. I must admit it is pretty sad. I know alot of members on here are of high school age and some are early university, but this scene has never been about hurting others and treating people in bad light. I have been involved with the Toronto Rave and Club scene since 1991. Yes that means 12 years, and I must say what i have been reading and seeing on this board lately really upsets me.
All this negative vibe is what helped to destroy the once amazing scene we had in this city, and continues to hurt our community. If you do not understand what this community is all about (and no its not about partying and drugs its about much more) then maybe you dont belong.
This is just my two cents if you feel the need to pit me down because of it then please do it. Because it will only prove my point.

well said trancekyd....true there may be "some" individuals on the board who dont seem to know the difference between stating your opinion and absolutely tearing into someone for a point of view they may have taken. I personally stay away from all that "crap"...keeps a smile on my face...

I hope this is not directed at myself, this post was in no way menat to be part of the problem. I am trying to get everyone to realize their is a problem and remeber why we got into this community and scene to begin with.:cool: |

Yes, Brian. TA has gotten lame. We've become the laughing stock of all the forums due to some bad apples. And yet, the mods are more concerned about closing 'bumped' party threads than dealing w/the real problems, since they seem to think all the bickering is humorous. Yeah, it might've been funny months ago, but it's just stupid and old now. I've been visiting the forums less now cuz of it.
Sadly Skipper, Brian isn't a position of authority to do anything about it. Many people have put the others on ignore, and it just doesnt work. It's up to the mods. |

My post alluded to this:
- The problem is not just one person, or a few. It's everyone who responds to these dumbass posts...with more of the same. It perpetuates the bickering.
- attention whores want attention. Give it to them by responding to their posts, and they'll continue. Stop, and they'll stop.
- Obviously you cannot convince the trolls/attention whores of anything. So trying to do so makes things worse.
If you can't agree to disagree at this point,then just be quiet. The drama is getting really stale. |

The problem with implementing a solution of this nature is that there is always going to be one person that will respond. I can honestly say that ignoring the problematic posters will not work. You can repeat it fity thousand times to ignore them and there will always be a few people responding back. Its a lose/lose situation. The true solution is to get rid of these people once and for all. Anything else will just lead to swells and lulls in fighting on the boards. |

maybe one day you'll understand where myself and rev. paroxyzm are coming from when we say that almost EVERY messageboard sucks in one way or another. |
