I don't plan on reading every single post in this already-exploded thread, but just to clear up a few nagging issues here:
I did the picture, I thought it was hilarious, and so did a whole lot of other people who saw it posted. It was more than deserved. And in that regard, I apologize for absolutely nothing.
Like I said before, by getting all preachy and proper and principled, by intellectually masturbating and insisting that people do the "right" thing instead of the thing that's probably in everyone's best interests, you people perpetuate the problem for far longer than it needs to go on. Trust me, that girl was 20 minutes away from shutting her pie hole until all the bleeding-hearts decided to step in and whine about how it was uncalled for.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: DON'T FEED THE ANIMALS! Don't defend the instigators. It may be a ing sad thing to admit, but total and absolute public humiliation is the one of the few things that can stop an attention seeker, and every time you try to save them the humiliation (because they're a "human being" or "nobody deserves that" or something), you're only serving to prolong their stay on the forum.
Besides, I was having great fun ripping her to pieces, the only downside is the constant objections from the PLUR peanut gallery. |

Nah I don't think you're a nerd. I'm sorry if it sounded like that.
You say you're defending yourself...most the time you aren't. Maybe you've been insulted a lot because a lot of people are jealous of you. I dunno. How would I know. Maybe you strike first just because you expect someone to say something nasty to you.
I do know that you've taken a lot of abuse in here of late; I've witnessed it. Not to say you don't deserve it.
I guess all I can say is that at this moment, I don't want to insult you. Like when I went and found that post where you said you and that guy were in your 20s, I just remembered that you had told us that. You asked why anyone would think you were in your 20s. That was why.
The only time I really feel like insulting you (or others) is when I read something really hurtful. Maybe I am too sensitive. I feel their hurt. If that makes sense. Its not right to hurt people. You shouldn't make fun of them and they shouldn't make fun of you. I guess I've tried to express this before, but maybe I'm not good at communicating. I'm not attacking you. |

amen. some people forget that this is a VERY local forum (basically just Toronto) thus, we know each other IN REAL LIFE, so this isn't just senseless bickering over the internet. And ffs, it's just a few people going at it (including me in some cases, which I am ashamed of and I am stopping), so judging the whole the forum is like saying all Russians are communists. |
