Ok. theres millions of threads on the DJ Mag poll, and we're near the end, but what I'm interested in, forget the other genres for a minute
Take these 4 DJs
Paul Van Dyk
Armin
Tiesto
Ferry
Every1 knows im a big ferry fan, but the last 6 months, one guy seems to be throwing out the most amazing melodic sets, with energy in them (pvd) whereas ferry is evolving his sounds slightly and tiesto although ok, has done nothing huge, Armin seems to be spinning a bit boring, not slagging him, but maybe its the tempo he's playing, but take his sensation set, it was too slow, remembering what we call the best 'trance' sets are te 2000, the innercitys etcetc...
so, will Paul be the highest ranked regular trance dj ? imo, it's very possible, without flaming every other DJ, what do u lot think ? |

| I honestly think that its gonna come down to Pvd or Armin. Ferry is amazing, and Tijs is my all time favorite, but I think Armin or Pvd are the ones to watch out for. My vote, Armin. |

| i don't think that the contest has really that much to do with the dj's performances of late, but more of a general fan base that dj has gotten over the years. i haven't heard any recent pvd sets, but i'm guessing that people are most likely just gonna vote for who they have liked better in the past... |

i think paul this time around
armin maybe next year or the year after if he continues the way hes going as of late |

I know what u mean, But imo, in the last 12 months, Paul has hit heights the other 3 I mentioned have not, Armin had a huuge start to the year, but I know a lot of ppl are fed up with him atm, and I know PVD is the DJ most ukta's seem to want to see, he's played some blinders here atm, imo as much as i respect others, I'd like to see the vote a better reflection of the last 12 months, and not their entire career, but if it will happen, who knows |

He will be in top 3 for sure (IMO). I didn't vote for him, but I didn't vote for armin or ferry either (and paul was # 4 or 5 for me), but you have to admit Tiesto has had a _huge_ year. |

imo... apart from TIC which was a overhyped dj set, the live performances were hideous at times (rock and roll music *cringes*) his best years were 99,00 & 01, 02 & 03 which he's got more acclaim for, I don't rate him as highly, also, to win 2 years in a row... I'm not sure, But, we shall soon see |

| gotta give it to paul. it's been long overdue, i'll be happy with that. tijs is my main man, but being #1 incites the flamers and attracts the newbie massive. so it, tiesto can go down to 50 and it's all good, even if this year has been much bigger for him than 2002. |

The way it will be (my prediction)
Tiesto stays number 1, Ferry drops, Armin gains many positions and Paul is going to be below Armin somewhere.
Tiesto picked up ALOT of North American listeners this year which in turn will keep him on top I think. Ferry has fallen short of even being "good" recently so I don't think he'll do well at all. Armin continues to impress with ASOT and his various livesets. As for Paul, I can't say much because I don't listen to him live and I'm not a fan of his either. |
