Well I still think that if the gorilla gets a good punch at the grizzly's snout first and foremost, it will win. They can punch with a frikkin load of Newtons of force... Imagine that huge ape charging at the grizzly and WHAM - first strike.

Same thing goes for the grizzle. One swipe, and he will own the ape.

It all depends on who gets the first strike pretty much.

grizzly, gorillas dont know how to fight, its not like they've taken fighting classes, the best they can do is probably bright

Mas Oyama apparently faced a bull unarmed, shattering its horns with his bare arms (apparently there is actual footage of this in existance, although it was later claimed by some that the bull was old and weak). Not sure if anyone has ever tried to face a silverback...

Yes, but you must realize humans know exactly where and when to strike. The gorilla doesn't know where to strike, and it also doesn't have the means to strike efficiently. Real life gorillas aren't goddamn king kongs. The bear instinctively knows which places on the body are most vulnerable. The fact that bear has predictable tactics is absolutely irrelevant, because a gorilla doesn't know that. And even if it knew, what then? The best it could do is to try to punch the bear in the face, something that would make the bear a bit dizzy for a few seconds at best. Humans have been able to kill bears with knives, but those were trained humans and ffs, they had the damn knives. The gorilla doesn't have a knife. It only has it's fists. And trust me, a grizzly's neck is a bit too strong to be broken by gorilla's hands. Besides, if the gorilla attempted to catch the bear by the neck, just imagine what the bear's claws would do to gorilla's arms.

I think you should try some more uncertain fights...like a grizzly vs an elephant, or a killer whale vs plesiosaurus.

Grizzlies are the most dangerous when they are injured. So yet again advantage Grizzly.

yah a chimp can rip my arm off great. But its not chimp vs human.

Its gorilla vs bear.

And a bear has much bigger "arms" than I do.

Doesn't matter. Think about how fast a huge silverback on a rampage can charge. Runs at you on all fours for the rushed approach, then goes up on 2 legs for the last 2 strides, fists flying at you: boom, boom, boom. The first strike would be at the snout. More would follow suit within the next 2 seconds.

If grizzly gets first strike pretty much anywhere on the body of the gorilla, it will win. If the gorilla gets first strike in snout/head area, it will most likely win. Doesn't take much to incapacitate a grizzly when you are in a frenzied charge with fists that big pounding him in the head.
