Essentially most dj's are like this:

What I'd really like to see would be someone bringing something new to the scene. I'm tired of DJ's who get praise by simply playing the newest tunes first. |

| as mentioned in the post above this one, being original and playing songs before everyone else are two very different things. i just picked up a cd from richie hawtin and it took a while to grow on me, but it is the most original cd ive ever heard. everything on it is very experimental, not one thing comes from the same source. bass from a pc, effects from records etc. and his mixing is awsome. so to sum it up. richie hawtin needs more respect.:tongue2 |

I think every Dj here at TA is underrated except Armin, Tiesto, Ferry, Tiesto, Markus Schulz and PvD.
You guys act like they´re no others DJs on the planet.. |

His older albums for Hook are just as good. He's been around for years yet still hasn't broken to the top (though that's arguably a good thing). I saw him at Ultra 5 too, and felt only Paul van Dyk surpassed him. |
I missed PvD because after Tiesto I left the main stage because I didn't feel like seeing Underworld's live performance, then when it was time for PvD to get on (who I have never seen yet) the place was so packed with people they stopped letting people in the main stage area...and at that point me and my friend were ing tired as being there ALL day from 11:00am dancing for all those hours...so we said it and left. But Oakey, Tiesto, Lawrence, Sasha & Digweed were GREAT...next year I will have to see Kimball Collins, as he is one of my newer favorite trance DJ's.

| Jon OO Flemming has got to be the most respected by me, maybe armin also, since he seems like a nice guy. |

Like what? You can't really do much.
And DJ's get praise for more than simply playing a tune first  |

| actually, to add to my original post, dj q-bert needs more respect. for those of you have heard of him, i know, he aint techno in any way. for those of you who have not heard him before, look very hard for a set called demolition pumpkin squeeze musik. if it is possible to be born with a set of earphones, q-bert would have been. dmc champ 3 years straight and then barred from competition cause he was too good. anyways, check out that set, its candy for your ears. samples across the board from james brown all the way to old school spiderman cartoons looped over tom sawyer by rush. peace:eek: |

| Ohhh how can I forget to add my buddy James Holden. This man is a in genius…....that’s about all I can say about this man…....this guy is only 22, has a math degree from Oxford University and has a background in classical music....if u want to see what this man is made of...all I have to say is 2 words "Balance 005" mixed by James. Get it, u won’t regret, I will put anything on that. And if u guys also want to check out one of his live sets try his Triple J on October 5-th. |
