I can't believe that issue like this are coming up.
A moderator is not someone to break up fights, I think that we are all mature enough to resolve things on our own, I mean if I can tolerate VD Boy now-a-days anything is possible. I have been involved in serveral fights but I don't think that they needed some sort of mods to tell me when to stop, I'm pretty sure that I can stop on my own. Trust me, I would be more pissed off and annoyed when every arguement would be shut down before it is resolved, we would have tons of threads to continue discussion (a la this one). I think both Swamper and Ari have been doing an excellent job eventho it may look like they are not present. Do we really want someone to control everything that we right? No we don't, trust me. A moderator acts behind the scenes and not overtly controlling everything that is happening. I'm sure that there are warnings that go out to people.
Mods are also here to keep the board looking good and organized and conveying important info. ie. not 5 threads about one event or review. |
